Some of the "pinks and greens" actually have a greyish tint. If they are are 1940s era Army officer pants they would be right. The Army didn't change uniforms until it went to the "pickle suit" in the 1950s. Don't think the Army ever cuffed pants.
I'm there brother. Not vintage, but I had to send my Omega off a while back and I wonderd when/if/in what manner I'd see it back. Right now my broken Pelikan is awaiting a similar voyage.
Although it has been unseasonably cool here, one of my summer standards is:
Seersucker Blazer (blue -- I have brown too)
Navy slacks
Blue and white bow tie
A panama on top.
