I know what you mean. I'm that way about movies that are about movie making. Which strangely they never seem to get right.
Having said that, probably less than 1% of the audience viewing those films would know the difference between a radio show from the 30s and one from the 50's. :-)

You have to understand that at the time of the films release, Mary Astor had a reputation as something of a notorious woman. In fact she had been involved, as least on the edges, of a sex scandal shortly before Falcon was made. So the filmmakers were playing off of the audiences expectations of...
That may have been more of a rights issue than anything else. Though they probably just thought that no one would be able to tell from the brief clip that it was from the wrong era.

Avoiding contrails is impossible. And its only been recently with the advent of computers that they can be removed. So I tend to give filmmakers a little slack in this area.

The western electric model 302 telephone was originally issued with a cloth covered straight cord, but a rubber covered curled cord became available in the early 1940's. It wasn't widely distributed however until after the war. So while they would have been rare in the early 40's, its not...

Look at the original Tomorrowland in Disneyland and you get...
Great idea Gilboa. And thank you for posting Pinup and the Poltergeist for me.
Now I need to sit down and watch some of these other projects.
Thanks again

Thank you! Amanda is the real deal, and she knows her vintage stuff!
I hope you find a good photographer in your area to do some Hurrell like photography with.

Yep as I said in the other thread, it happens when you are the only guy behind the camera. Those two scenes were actually shot on different days. The stairs were shot first, then the booth on another day. I just forgot about the flashlight on the stair day. :D

Yeah I was making no attempt to remove all things modern. But lets just call it a "radarange" and be done with it! LOL After all the first microwave ovens were available from Tappen in 1952. Of course they were $1200 in 52, but we won't quibble.
