I think that might have as much to do with the availability of their classic films as anything else. MGM, Warner and RKO have huge portions of their classic library available to modern audiences, you can't say the same of Paramount for instance.
Also interesting to note that 3 of those 4...

While that is probably true, a wider frame 1.85, and particularly 2.35, more closely aproximates the human field of few. Some, myself included, find it easier to compose for a wider screen.
I really don't think wide screen is a gimmick, though the reasons for switching to it in the 50's...
The Bond films were and are produced by EON Productions, a company setup by Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman to produce the films. The films themselves are owned by a company called Danjaq setup by the producers as a holding company. UA put up the money and was a distributor only.

Being a lover of Film Noir, my top 3 would be RKO, Warner, and Fox. All three studios, particularly Fox and RKO, regularly made film noir of the highest quality. And of course I LOVE the Fox CinemaScope films of the early 50s.
It is a little hard to compare Monogram with Republic, as it was...

Over the Rainbow was written for Oz so of course that is what it is most associated with.
I Wake Up Screaming also uses "Street Scene" written by Alfred Newman for the movie Street Scene (1931). This bit of music was used as the main titles of MANY Fox films noir, including The Dark Corner...

I don't know why I didn't think of this one before, after all it happened in my home town.
Did Winnie Ruth Judd really murder and cut up the body of her roommate, put it in a trunk and ship it from Phoenix to Los Angeles?

Geoff Montgomery: It's worse than horrible because a zombie has no will of his own. You see them sometimes walking around blindly with dead eyes, following orders, not knowing what they do, not caring.

Die Hard (1988)
The whole movie takes place on Christmas eve, but decidedly NOT a Christmas movie.
The Poseidon Adventure (1972)
Actually takes place on New Years Eve, but they climb up the Christmas Tree to escape the ball room.
Lethal Weapon (1987)
Takes place at Christmas time and...
