As far as quality, it seems most modern ice cream has become slop. There's a local maker, Kawartha Dairies, that still makes decent ice cream but it can be difficult to find.
Up here, that's a perfectly legitimate question. They're trying to cut back on the use of disposable plastic bags. Most people here now use their own cloth, reusable grocery bags. Most retailers will charge 5 cents a bag for the disposable ones...even the Sally Ann thrift shops!

This set of a fruit bowl with two candlesticks came from a local contents sale. They are Limoges lustre ware, from 1925. The house had a number of absolutely wonderful pieces of arts and crafts furniture, all going for a song...but I had neither room in the house...
Thanks...lucky find, again. Toronto has, fortunately, progressed from it's puritanical "Toronto-the-Good" past. Pretty well everything is open on Sundays now, although in the thrift shop vein, all the Salvation Army shops are still closed.
