What about the women who dress like men?
I'm serious (can of worms being opened). I think rules should change, some women are getting a pass on this. The rules of etiquette were set when women dressed in nicer clothes, just as men did, and their hats were dress hats and as has been said often...
It depends on where the indoors is. I will leave my hat on in a large indoor building. I will also usually leave it on in a bar. I always take my hat off when sitting to eat.
I have a vintage Pilgrim, it was my grandfather's. I don't wear it much though because it is a tad too short of a brim, just over 2"
However, I wasn't in Iowa yesterday.
I cannot get my camera to operate properly, but it looks just like this one. In taht good of shape too. Really I would have been happy with a beat up one too.
Not a mannlicher style stock. I have a Mannlicher style on a mann-schoenauer, love them just like rumblefish and on a Ruger M77...
Men have very few fashion accessories for the lack of a better word that we wear. Women have many. We wear suits that have some variation, but a suit is a suit. Your tie may stand out, or a handkerchief or nice braces. You may have cuffs (which I wear occasionally and are not truly an...
Now back to the regularly scheduled program.
Show us your guns!
I need to get the camera out and take a couple myself. My latest, an old CZ 550/602 African Safari in .375 H&H.

The way they shape those brims it leads me to think they have those stupid wires in the brim edge. Those things become nightmares after a brief perios and impossible to ever get back into shape. I hope that is not the case. It's a neat idea.
I'm sure they are tough. Tough and ugly. They...
The Bailey Gangster and the S&S hats are both all wool if I recall. I certainly would not put water, steam or alcohol on it. They may loosen up over time, its hard to say with wool, but I wouldn't get them wet on purpose. That's asking for trouble.
Great collection Gene. Did you have any more luck finding other hats while in Memphis antiquing, after that first hat you found?
I found myself a new hat yesterday in an antique shop. An Adam, silverbelly OR style with wonderfully softy felt in amazing shape. It was in an Adam hat box...
Ha it already isn't. This is a moorelite. However, it was the first one and he wasn't crazy about it, but I liked it and talked him out of it. :) It isn't quite as light as the last 2 he made, but it is lighter than regular fur felt for certain. In the pic it is hard to tell the color, but it...
