Who else loves wearing the crap outta their FQHH?
My brown Highwayman thrives on it.
Rubbing against brick walls, soaking walks in the rain, laying on the floor and walking on it, and rolling it into a ball and using it as a seat cushion.
It comes back looking better than ever.
Plus, it's...
I have a new nickname for you; Peacoat the Pusher.
I really like to only have a few really good coats to wear. Can't see the use of having more coats than I can wear since I'm not a collector.
Besides, I have a lot of underlayers I use to layer with my coat;
several Merino Wool Ibex shirts...
I guess it's like collecting anything.
People don't buy them to wear, just collect.
Sure it seems pointless, but to each his own.
In principle, though, I agree with you.
I own 1 Aero Highwayman (brown) and 1 Vanson Enfield (black).
So I have the 2 basic colors covered.
I also have 1...
What are you kidding?
I purposely rub up against brick walls with my Aero FQHH to give it more character.
Yes, I'm serious!
The more beat up, the better.
Don't know if the same holds true for Goat though.

I just have to chime in here.
I received my Enfield over the summer.
It's made in the USA.
There were 2 minor problems with it:
- one of the inner snaps for attaching liners was missing; Nicole sent me a spare, wrong one but all I needed was the back part, and I attached it; had to cut open...
WalkingBoy,
I'm kinda in your boat with respect to mismatching hides.
I have a brown FQHH Highwayman and it has mismatching panels.
However, in Aero's defense, I'm not sure they can tell with new hides if one piece will end up smooth, while another will end up jerky.
I think wear really...
You could always go for a vintage peacoat.
They're inexpensive, very warm, with classic styling that goes well with jeans
or khakis.
I also think the shorter length is better for everyday use, like getting in and out of cars,
sitting in the classroom when it's too chilly to takk it off etc...
I had luck slightly lengthening the sleeves of my FQHH Aero.
I completely soaked it by walking in the rain, then holding the cuffs with my hands while stretching and bending the arms in every possible direction.
I wore it as long as possible and then just let it dry at room temp.
YMMV.

Anybody ever see their leather jacket offerings, or own one?
They have some really interesting designs.
Don't know a thing about quality though.
Check it out.

I've worn this jacket for years and it shows very little wear.
1 or 2 minor snags in the lining, no holes.
Fraying at the neck.
Zip in liner is almost perfect.
The leather itself I believe is Goatskin and very supple.
It shows virtually no wear.
Zipper and snaps work as new.
It's marked a...
I took Peacoat's advice last year and bought a vintage one, 1966 I believe, for $50.
Other than a few moth nibbles that are only on the surface, the coat is pristine. The wool is absolutely the nicest I've ever seen.
Lining is perfect too.
Cut of the coat is snug, but not restrictive.
It...
With regard to who makes the jacket, I have to say this:
I had a FQHH Highwayman made by Aero.
While the fit is perfect, some of the stitching isn't.
Some stitching is less than straight, and some seems to be
a much higher stitches/inch count than the rest. In one spot, a piece
of...
Hey all,
I just wanted to weigh in here.
I'm sure the wrinkles will disappear once the jacket has seen some good wear and attains a million more wrinkles. It'll all even out in the end. My Aero Highwayman was somewhat like this Enfield when I first got it. With constant wear and soakings in...
Dude,
Your girlfriend rides an S1000RR?
Why couldn't I find a woman like that.
But then again, she'd have more testosterone than me! lol
Hope you ride something equally manly, like a V Max or something.
