    Post New Hats Here!

Kiyan, welcome to the Fedora Lounge! That stingy brim appears to fit you well and it works for you. To me, a brim that small can't be worn by everyone, and the fact that you're a young man helps in that regard. Hang around here enough and you might be yearning to try a wider brim and taller...

My vote for the day goes to Rodkins Portis. It's a great looking lid. Alan, as usual, beautiful hats worn with aplomb.

Who gives hats a bad name?

Philistines! It matters not, feltfan, for we are the true keepers of the flame! Let the world like what it likes, and we'll like what we like. A bit tongue in cheek, but true nonetheless.

Good looking tall crown on that one, Raider. The ribbon seems to be some flavor of maroon? Offsets the hat nicely.

Who gives hats a bad name?

There's the guy that likes his 4 door silver Toyota Camry, and he washes it on Saturday. It is stock. There are no bumper stickers on this vehicle. Then there's the guy that takes his 4 door silver Toyota Camry and puts 18" spinning chrome wheels with low profile tires on it, lowers it...

Ask a question, get an answer

Taper isn't really a "problem" per se. Many here prefer hats with less taper, i.e., more straight up and down like a stovepipe, as you mentioned. But with that said, it really is a preference, and some prefer more taper. Also, different amounts of taper look better or worse depending on the...

Hollywood brim- whats a good one?

I'm with Dano. The H-wood brim works well on that one, Rodkins. My personal opinion is the style can look contrived, but this one looks pretty organic. Also, Robert, that is a really cool old ad.

That's a cool (not going for the pun even though there are cooling vent holes) lid, Rick. Was it an ebay find?

    The Lee Lounge

I just went back through this thread and Lee made some great lids. They don't seem to turn up a lot or get talked about much, but they had nicely proportioned hats.
