Also here's a nice depression glass identification website, with pictures of different patterns:

this is a nice site to browse for reference.
I have some block optic depression glass. In fact I have boxes of different styles of depression glass packed away in my attic, waiting for me to unpack them and put them in my living room built-ins, after I finally finish scraping and painting them. Most of my depression glass belonged to my...
I second Inky's suggestion. I would carefully trim the purse flap, sew down the loose edges and then bind them with some sort of trim to cover up the damage.
I'm jealous of all the ladies that have enough eyebrow to pluck and make into shapes. Mine are naturally thin & rounded (no arch), if I plucked them I wouldn't have anything left. It seems to me that a good arch really perks ups a face, but I guess I'll have to stick to my brows.
I've decided to lower the price of each of the shoes to $25.00 a pair, plus shipping. I'm practically giving them away at these prices and I won't go any lower in price. All of the shoes are hard to find larger sizes.
Smuterella,
Let me know if you have any questions about the shoes. I'll be more than happy to help you out.
If it's any help, I wear a size 9M in U.S. sizes and I can wear all of the shoes comfortably (even though they all have dofferent measurements) except for the black 40s pumps.
Thanks!
I am so in love with this. It's almost one of those things that are so over the top, that they become wonderful. Kind of like a John Waters movie. I can't help but admire someone who has the chutzpah to pull of this look like she does.
I've decided to lower the prices on all of the shoes!
These are really nice shoes, all in excellent wearable shape. They are a steal. You can't get modern or vintage shoes this nice, at this price, in larger sizes!
Last ones - Pair #4.
Brown late 1940s, early 1950s crocodile baby doll pumps! These are amazing shoes, handmade and very high-end. The crocodile is supple and soft, there are no signs of cracking or of the leather drying out. Shoes are marked "Hand Made Romani Originals". Soles have slight...
Pair #3 - Deadstock black 1940s pumps with their original box. There is a slight amount of wear of the soles from the shoes being tried on, but they are deadstock! Marked "Grace Walker" shoes. The size is not marked, but they measure 10 1/4" length, measured from inside toe to heel. The...
Pair #2 - A modern pair of Lucky Lou, carved heel wedges. In excellent shape, worn only a hanful of times. The size is 8.5 M. I wear a size 9M, and bought a half size smaller so the shoes wouldn't slip off my feet. They fit my 9M foot fine, or a 8.5 M could wear them as well. The length...
Hello everyone,
Once again, I'm claeaning out some of my collection and I would like to offer some vintage shoes for sale at reasonable prices. Please save me the hassle of listing these one EBay! :)
Pair #1 - A lovely pair of 1950s pumps made from pink pearlized leather! Such a pretty...
Wow, I really like those shoes from Aldo! The brown and tan combo are dreamy.
On a related note - I'll be posting some really nice pairs of larger sized vintage shoes in the classifieds today. A pair of crocodile baby doll pumps, 40s deadstock black heels, 50s pink shoes and a modern pair of...
I can play a whole slew of anachronistic cards games besides whist... faro, quadrille. Too bad I can't make a living as an old-timey riverboat gambler. lol
Canasta is much easier to play than bridge. In fact, once you get a hang of all the rules, it is quite easy to play. We actually use little cheat sheets with the rules printed on them and they help tremendously, especially when you are just learning to play.
Yahoo games has a really good...
Thank you for the compliments, ladies. You know how to make a gal blush!
I might try one of the Garnier Nutrisse reds next time I dye my hair. I'll have to see if they have a nice copper red.
As for the lipstick, it is one of the Burts Bees lip shimmers. It is a color called coffee that...
Be careful with that thought. My brother owns a 1950s ranch and I own a big Victorian. His house is much less energy efficient than mine because he has the original aluminum bay windows in his house that open by cranking them. Any heat in the house goes straight out those windows. So much...
