Palm Springs Air Museum Founder Passes

Sad news indeed, but a life well-lived. So when are we going to the museum? Before it gets too hot, I hope. :)

    Cannot wear stingies anymore?

I wear both kinds, I favor the wider brims when I'm dressed up and for protection in the summer sun. When the days get cooler and shorter, the stingies come out, especially when I go casual.

    Stinky Vacation

For the Queen Mary event, I took three vacation days. Those were the first paid vacation days I've taken since 1989, if you don't count unemployment. ;) My problem now is, I'm one of only three guys at my company who can do my job. Taking a week or two off would impose an undue hardship on...

When I was young I loved "The First and the Last" by Adolf Galland, "Reach for the Sky" by Paul Brickhill and "The Thousand Plane Raid" by Ralph Barker. I haven't read them in years, though. I need to find copies again. Edit to add "Wing Leader" by J.E. "Johnnie" Johnson.

Thanks for the heads up! James, that genius was probably a descendant of the genius who decided that dogfighting was obsolete after the Great War and thought that heavy bombers could fly into hostile territory unescorted if they were fast enough. Or the geniuses in England who decided that...

    I finally got it!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent! Trust me, you'll find excuses to wear it. I did. :) I love that flare, my toppers don't have nearly as much. I think you got a bargain, too, considering its age and condition. What stories it could tell!
