This jacket looks like a decent alt to the Highwayman.

I've read some conflicting things about Schott jackets in the past but I can't get over the look of this one. I've seen another Schott at a local store and it...
Thanks guys. Guess I'll just have to wear the heck out of them; like my Aero! Yes, I do walk a lot in them.
BTW, they're the single midsole, Vibram 100 outersole. The leather is awesome. These things should last a good long time.
Received my Wescos a few days ago and have been wearing them non-stop to break them in. I have small feet so they're size 7.5 D I found at Big Black Boots. The size 8 D boots I got directly from Wesco were too large and are now FS here and on the Bay. The 7.5's fit nice and snugly with thick...
These have minimal wear on them.
I'm selling because they're just a bit too large for me.
They look brand new with the exception of a tiny bit of heel wear which is unnoticeable.
$300 (special price for FL'ers) net to me OBO shipped.
Also listed on eBay with a pic here...
OK, I'll weigh in with my meager Filson collection.
Just got an older version of the Tin Packer coat off the Bay. I'm normally a 40, but this jacket is a 38 and fits perfectly. Haven't worn it yet as it's been uncharacteristically dry here in NJ this year. I'm looking for a wool liner for this...
Yeah, I looked at my Highwayman's lining the other day and lo and behold the moths had taken a few small nibbles out of my lining while it was slumbering on the closet floor during the summer. No biggy. I can always send it back for a relining when it's truly torn to shreds.
Anybody else?
Maybe I'm wrong, but I've found putting on jackets over corduroy shirts to be very frustrating due to how much they grab the jacket lining. I would assume the opposite to be true also. I want a jacket that is as easy as possible to put on and take off.
All right, I can only take so much.
Nobody is debating the fact that a large zipper would look ridiculous on a vintage styled Aero.
And, nobody is debating the fact that in some instances Aero zippers just don't work properly or stop working altogether after a while.
I've had 4 different...
Got this 2 weeks ago and absolutely love it.
I had a SBL Large Satchel before that. It was beautifully made but comically overbuilt. I just couldn't warm up to the plethora of D-Rings, multiple layers of leather, and strap that would be better suited to reigning in a Brahma Bull at the rodeo...
I just picked up a Satchel and Page Mailbag: http://www.satchel-page.com/products/mailbag
It's beautiful. I had a Saddleback Large Satchel prior to this, but I just never totally liked it. It was totally overbuilt to the point of being ridiculous. Too many D-Rings, too many layers of leather...
