    This might be helpful. I'm 5'7", 155 lbs with a 32" waist. I wear the side adjusters about half way cinched,so there's extra room if you have a fuller belly than me. For such a boxy style, It's very flattering.

    Yes, the chest pocket was placed there to avoid clashing with the inner left hand side pocket. I did it this way instead of the other way around because thats how my shoulders are comfortable reaching. I have 2 shoulder replacements and torn rotator cuffs so... I also specified the 22 1/2"...

    I screwed up with this pic. You'll notice I measured from the inner edges of the gusset. The shoulders are indeed 18" when measured to the outsides of the gusset, where your shoulders actually fit. See below.
