This is easily the nicest Aero I've ever seen.
Here's the rundown:
- size 40
- buttery soft HEAVY Steerhide (much more supple than Aero's FQHH)
- gorgeous grain everywhere
- 1 piece back
- shoulder gussets for ease of movement
- gorgeous Lochcarron wool Scotch plaid lining
- dark brown corduroy strip at inner hem to prevent wear to lining
- brown Moleskin lined pockets
- pit vents
- no holes, tears, stains, anything; from a non-smoking house

On to the pix (with measurements)

$775 OBO PPFF + actual shipping and insurance

Any questions, post them here.

Nice jacket. I am used to the typical size 40 jackets measuring in the 18" - 19" range shoulder to shoulder. Is this narrower in the shoulders than the typical size 40, or is this an illusion from those pictures showing the inside of the shoulder gussets? Maybe asked another way, would the shoulder to shoulder measurement be closer to 18" if measured from the front?

Too small for me but certainly a nice jacket, with some great looking hide.

Was this made to your own specification ?

The single chest pocket on the right hand side of the jacket is different but it’s possible it was positioned there to avoid clashing with the inner left hand side pocket (but then again why not just have the inner pocket on the right ?)
Also, at 22 1/2 inches the back length seems a bit on the short side, even for a 40 jacket.

I like the chunky brass d-rings on the side adjustment straps and would be interested to know if these work any better than the more common buckle. I find that unless the end of the leather strap is doubled back and tucked through the buckle these can often slip.

I screwed up with this pic.
You'll notice I measured from the inner edges of the gusset.
The shoulders are indeed 18" when measured to the outsides of the gusset, where your shoulders actually fit. See below.

Yes, the chest pocket was placed there to avoid clashing with the inner left hand side pocket. I did it this way instead of the other way around because thats how my shoulders are comfortable reaching. I have 2 shoulder replacements and torn rotator cuffs so...

I also specified the 22 1/2" measurement as I have a slightly short torso in comparison to my legs and I wanted a shorter jacket.

The D-Rings do indeed secure the straps well and look killer IMHO.

Thanks - this is helpful. Are you able to provide a pic of the width of the bottom hem and comment on whether there is anything custom specified there (wider or narrower than stock) just given the amount of customization of other aspects of the jacket?

This might be helpful.
I'm 5'7", 155 lbs with a 32" waist.
I wear the side adjusters about half way cinched,so there's
extra room if you have a fuller belly than me.
For such a boxy style, It's very flattering.

Thanks - The measurements on this one are pretty similar to a Zip Sleeve Highwayman I have also in size 40 other than the fact that you jacket is approx 1" shorter. I like the short boxy fit of the jacket I have, so this is one to think about; need to consider whether the length would work. Thanks again for the additional sizing info.
