What if you’e the only person at a nudist colony wearing a hat?

Let’s try it out. I’m not much for posting pictures of myself on forums, but here’s a bad shot of my navy Stylemaster. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have yet to figure out how to post pictures. Are these instructions right? http://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/how-to-post-pictures.89090/

    Akubra Overload

Thank you. I'm looking more for the "casual hat that can be dressed up" category. I actually like the look of the brown DM Adventurers that I'be seen posted here but I'm not sure I want to go that "Indy." "Get them both" is the motto of this place, right? They should translate it into...

    Akubra Overload

I've been toying with the idea of getting the DM model in moonstone. I note that the ribbon on it matches the felt, unlike the moonstone Fed IV, which I believe has a somewhat darker ribbon. For some reason I feel that the moonstone Adventurer would look much dressier than the brown, even...

    Bill Belichick's Fedora!

I may keep wearing hats anyway.

    Akubra Overload

I think your post that led to this kerfuffle was in response to me, and I believe I understood your point. If I ever pull the trigger on an MSCD, I’m going to try a center crease.

    Akubra Overload

I believe the Bushman is exclusive to David Morgan and the American shops that get their Akubras through David Morgan. I know this approaches heresy here, but I've never been very interested in the Campdraft (for me, that is; it looks great on many guys here). The moonstone CDs, however, are...

    Akubra Hats

No dunk in the lake, but it did handle a torrential downpour very well. I trust our outback friend would approve - there is something fun about wearing a new Akubra in the rain.

    Akubra Hats

I'm tempted to take that a step further and dunk ny new Territory in the lake. I haven't done that with any other hat but an unlined country Akubra seems like the one to try it with, if any hat is.

What happened to Sam? It seems like Tim Martin has taken over the communications end of the business.

Do milans provide enough protection for baldies?

With all due respect, this entire forum is about over-thinking! :)

Do milans provide enough protection for baldies?

I see what you're saying, but it seems to me that even if I'm moving, the hat is staying in one place on my head so the sun that gets through the gaps in the straw will keep hitting the same place.

    Tilley Travels

I have a Tilley LTB5 nylon hat that I really like, but I don't see it on their website anymore so I'm wondering if it's been discontinued. It never occurred to me to remove the foam.

Do milans provide enough protection for baldies?

When I hold my Akubra Reef up to the light, I can see light penetrating through the crown, which leads me to wonder how much sun protection it's giving the top of my head. What's been the experience of the Akubra hemp hat ownwrs out here? Aside from that it's a nice enough hat, although it's...

    I love the Fed IV!!

Ah, the "not only did we make you feel unwelcome, but you're a wuss for feeling unwelcome" approach. Dale Carnegie would be proud.

    Recommendation for Outdoors Hat

It's a great hat, but for me at least it's a bit hot in warmer weather, even with the vent holes, presumably because it's dark and lined.
