    Peters Brothers

I've wanted to get to the store for about a year now (I have a son at TCU--so I'm there a lot). But, my schedule doesn't seem to work out. If anyone sees a face and hand prints on the windows, that was probably me! Anyway--a Milan is on my list.

Best tartan liner for Aero brown FQHH..?

I'd go with Campbell--not red or reddish at all...very nice blue and green in a lighter shade than Black Watch. Kind of a Black Watch light--then again, I am a Campbell. Try this link for reddish tartans...I like the weathered Bruce--my wife is a Bruce...

I'll bet Abe at Paris Hatters still has a couple of the 20x and 10x Open roads around. Then again, they sold VERY well for him.

Great hat and great collection of SW2d! Edited: Did you buy that hat local or online? If local, where in Central Texas are you located? I would love to pick one up at Paris Hatters (my local). Edit x2--noticed the Delmonico label.

Amazing painted A-2s of the 390th Bombardment Group - pic heavy

The reflections in the glass are just as amazing as the jacket pictures. What a great collection!

Your evaluation of this hat please

Are those wrinkles or just grain in the leather? Regardless, and like everyone said, that hat is a keeper and I wouldn't worry about the sweatband. If it soft and pliable, it still has lots of life in it!

    Peters Brothers

The website has been under construction for almost a year. I hear good things about their hats. Going by the store later this month when I deliver my oldest to TCU. (EDITED--apparently after 11:00 pm I can't tell the difference between there and their.)

    What's your favorite flavor of...Brown?

I have one leather jacket...an indy in dark brown goat. That is my favorite jacket; not that I get to wear jackets a whole lot in Texas.

    bunny vs beaver

From the Akubra site: "In 1874 Benjamin Dunkerley arrived in Tasmania from England and decided to start a hat making business in Hobart. His skills as a hatter were backed by his ability to invent machinery, and soon after his arrival he had developed a mechanical method of removing the hair tip...

Akubras are, for the most part, are rabbit. Mine have all shed water well and been pretty hard wearing--I've had a campdraft and a fed iv.
