I've wanted to get to the store for about a year now (I have a son at TCU--so I'm there a lot). But, my schedule doesn't seem to work out. If anyone sees a face and hand prints on the windows, that was probably me! Anyway--a Milan is on my list.
I'd go with Campbell--not red or reddish at all...very nice blue and green in a lighter shade than Black Watch. Kind of a Black Watch light--then again, I am a Campbell. Try this link for reddish tartans...I like the weathered Bruce--my wife is a Bruce...

Are those wrinkles or just grain in the leather? Regardless, and like everyone said, that hat is a keeper and I wouldn't worry about the sweatband. If it soft and pliable, it still has lots of life in it!
