The website has been under construction for almost a year. I hear good things about their hats. Going by the store later this month when I deliver my oldest to TCU. (EDITED--apparently after 11:00 pm I can't tell the difference between there and their.)

Currently own 5 hats from PB purchased quite some years ago and still waiting on a Milan, 1 stock Stetson rancher, 1 western style custom, 2 Indy style custom, blend bodies, 1 100% beaver Indy, by far the best of the Indy customs from them, style wise and obviously quality wise. Never disappointed with the work though it might have been done by someone other than Shane. Prior to the beaver Indy I dealt with Joe and or Joe Jr.,other than speaking with Shane I don't know who of the family is left. They have always been a pleasure to deal with. True about their website being under construction for I think longer than a year but, a call to them seems to get it done. Hoping the Milan arrives soon, taking longer than the 2 weeks quoted.

So, with so many Loungers taking advantage of the $100 custom Milan deal, are we seeing longer turnaround times? I wonder if we're backing them up, or if they do so much work, that this is just a blip on their screen? I'm calculating when to make the call...

Their Milan Hemp is exactly what I've been looking for. I seriously considered the new Stetson Milan Hemp, but there are things that are not perfect about it for me. Then came Bob's PB Milan Hemp. Perfect!

However, I'm with Dave...calculating when to call. My summer is so bogged down with a difficult family task (mostly hot, sweaty, difficult and every weekend) and I've hardly even gotten to wear my new Panama hat. Now it's already August and I figure by the time I get it, I won't be able to wear it until spring. I definitely want one though.

Yeah, I wish their website had a bit more, but I know first hand how long it can take to get something like that going. When I set up my first photography/retouching webpage, weeks turned into months really quickly. Bob, you're right about Facebook. Go to their FB page for a few more pics and info.

Anyone who answers the phone will help you but it may be a good idea to ask for Brad and identify yourself as a Lounger. He's Joe Jr's son and it can't hurt if he knows how many of us are buying from him.

Just got off the phone with Shane, my hat is due to ship out today, tracking to follow, now I'm anxious. Tomorrow will make a month if that helps anyone but I think it would be best to call to get their latest lead time.

Ordered my Milan in person back on 07/07. was initially told it would be shipped by the 15th. I said fine, but never really expected that to happen. Spoke to them yesterday, and was promised that it would ship then, and it did, received tracking number last night. Should be delivered on Monday. I have no issues with their service...it's a custom made item, and 4-5 week is very reasonable.

Yes, their website is a bit behind, but their reputation is based more on repeat customers, and their recommendations to friends. I have a feeling that going full bore as an online retailer would only serve to cause harm...they don't appear to be equipped to go that route.

A visit to their store will make you understand the nature of their business model...old school to the max. Maybe it's a good thing I passed on the job offer in Fort Worth, being that close would be dangerous (in a good way) :)

I'd love to see some examples of their hats, especially when on members' heads. :)

Bob, is that the lightest of the three colors that someone has mentioned? Natural I presume?

When I finalized my Strat-style Milan order yesterday I didn't think to distinguish between a Milan and a "Milan hemp." Should I have done so? I'll probably be speaking to them later today, but I'd like to get this straight.

It's called "Natural" but I think they had/have a lighter color called bleach. I'm under the impression Our Brother "NYAH" has his in bleach...

I'm sure they know what you wanted. Almost positive that hat only comes in hemp. Wouldnt hurt to call.

The reason I asked was because I saw the Stetson Milan Strat in black and wasn't crazy about the way it looked. It has a kind of plastic look to it. I'm hoping the Peters Bros. Milan hemp will have a better, not so shiny, look.

My hat's the same hue as yours.

I have only seen three hues of hemp milan that Peters Bros offers. The lightest hue is what Bob Roberts and I have. Here they are from P.Bros' facebook page:
