I'm not sure this falls under penmanship (which requires skill, I think), but I just got a fountain pen with an italic nib on it and the way my writing looks is staggeringly better. Essential Books every Gentleman Should Have?
Hopefully, I would be judged well. I don't know how many volumes, but well over 125 feet of shelving........ Bachelor of Journalism is my bragging deal (not quite sure that's something to brag about, as Journalists tend to be such jerks :eek: ) All that said, my most read book is the Bible.- DBLIII

"Unfortunate but predictable..." Absolutely. If I were LE and had someone pointing a rifle in my direction, I'd give them a second's warning and fire. As a civilian, I would just open fire. Sounds like a really bad series of events.- DBLIII

Rhodesian Ridgebacks made their list. Interesting. I wonder how they determined genetic problems with this breed since the origin is rather clouded. {Oh, and I have nine dogs so I definitely favor anything that protects a dog's welfare, though I'm not sure that's what the BBC is...- DBLIII

I second celtic's reply. For dollars to quality - Chippewa USA are great. I have a couple pair and while beat to pieces are not worn out. Spent many miles on motorcycle pegs and many hours in dirty factories around big leaking equipment. Never could afford Wesco but have never heard a bad word...- DBLIII

Saw this and had to laugh - this is so true. I grew up in St. Louis, where as a kid, it seemed like every house was designed by FLW - or, a copy of his design, or the house had "elements" of his design, and on and on. This is a great thread! I feel much better. I "only" have maybe six and three of those are just black motorcycle jackets. I have one A-2 Aero that I just bought used. This means I am forced to do some additional collecting - in the interest of getting my numbers up to a respectable average. :D- DBLIII

Flight jacket repair?
Well, I just bought an Aero A-2 from a private seller, the jacket is about year 2000 with the red silk (?) lining. He didn't bother to tell me that the lining around the collar has multiple holes in it. So, I paid too much and now want to get this repaired - and cannot afford sending the jacket...- DBLIII
