How about for yourself?

Holland & Sherry will make up suiting with your name woven into the fabric.

Yes, the former mayor of my home town San Francisco has at least one brown pin stripe suit where the stripes say Willie Brown. You can only notice it up close. Stealth tacky.

He does wear nice fedoras though...

Yes, it's actually rather subtle. I was considering commissioning a length ;"If you can read this you are too close." :p

Nothing makes me laugh as much as what I call "billabong man": someone wearing clothes covered in logos, I mean people actually pay for T-shirts with beer labels on them! If a company wants me to be a billboard for them, they can give me the stuff for nothing to begin with...are you listening Yves?
Probably not; he's dead I think.

Such as Bob Hope and the Texaco Star Theater, and etc. And didn't that go from radio to television? (I'm not real clear on that.)

Yes it did and back in those days of radio and early television often one company would sponser the whole 30 or 60 minute program.

I am strongly in favor of wearing labels on the inside and not the outside of clothing. The only exception I would make, as noted above, would be the tag on Levis - likely because I remember it from the 40's and probably 30's.

the only times this does not annoy me are:

Levi's
Chucks
printed linings. if they can only be seen by the wearer, no problem.

But I really want some of that special order wool. I too would like to know if it can only be a name or if they will weave a short phrase. Fedora Lounge pinstripe anyone?

I don't wear Levi's only because the company is anti-gun. But, I wear Wranglers and don't mind the patch on the back pocket. People choose to buy things with a logo on them. Harley-Davidson has been running about $900,000 a quarter on T-shirts. My bike says "Harley-Davidson" on it, so does my right arm.
All the choice of the buyer. I was thrilled to get a trench coat that has the Burberry tag and screaming "logo" of their print lining. Oh, well.
