    Homburgs

I love Homburgs. I almost think that one has to have at least a little grey hair in order to carry on off, though. ;)

    Sweating

A high crown helps, and a center dent seems to allow more air space above the scalp than a teardrop, especially if the teardrop covers the top of your head like a skullcap. Also, for some reason my Akubra Federation Deluxe never shows sweat stains on the ribbon, no matter how much I sweat...

    The Curse of Indiana Jones

Funny thing is, I've been wearing my Akubra Federation Deluxe around a lot lately, trying to break it in, and I haven't gotten one comment. Maybe it's my size, I dunno.

Should I wait to order expensive hats for weight loss?

Some people do carry some fat in their forehead area, so for them it might make a difference.

    ...Grab your hat let's go

Where I work, the A/C is usually blasting cold air down on my head, so the hat is on. Otherwise, it's just on my desk.

Kingston '66 - A Different Kind of Haberdashery

Man, I sure could go for that Chairman. Maybe I'll have the money next time you get down to southern California.

'Star Trek' greats passed away this week

If you get a chance, catch some episodes of the "Twelve O'Clock High" TV series, I think it's playing on American Life TV. There's a recurring musical theme (Not the main theme) in the show that matches the "Star Trek" fanfare for the first 8 notes. Lots of actors who went on to appear on...

    Felt hats in summer..

To me, it's all about the humidity. If it's hot and dry, I wear my lighter felts, as I think they offer better sun protection. If I hold my Panamas up to the sun, I can see a lot of light getting through. If it's muggy, the Panama is the weapon of choice. As for sweat staining, keep a...

    Show us your motorcycles!

Dixon, my landlord just acquired a '74 Honda CL360, and he's getting it running. I may borrow it to get back into motorcycling. I haven't been on a sickle in nearly 18 years, but I used to ride a lot. Today's gas prices may see me up on two wheels again before long.

    J. Peterman Pigment Dyed Suit sz. 48

Dang, if I lost about 50-60 pounds, that suit might just fit me. I'm a little strapped right now, though.

    Magnoli's suits.

I am wearing Indy's "Barnett College" 3-piece suit in brown pinstripe in some of the pictures on this thread: http://www.thefedoralounge.com/showthread.php?t=30517 It's my best suit and I wear it often.

Anyone travel with full set bespoke luggage?

Just need to find a few Connies and DC-7s that could be restored to flight status and we're all set.

New Pictures of Clara Bow. (Taken today!)

Excellent pictures! So cute! But when I read that thread title, I thought Lee had finally flipped, and gone to Forest Lawn with a hammer and chisel. lol
