The award is quite fitting... (get it, fitting? I'll be here all week.)
I think of Lauren as the human time machine, she can bring practically any era to vibrant life.
I like IL2 but I wish it had some kind of trainer mode, like a Stearman or a Tiger Moth or something.
It's a very realistic sim, and I have had as much luck flying the P40 as I would have in the real thing, given the fact that my last flying lesson was in 1981.

Is the dialogue audio supposed to be that soft? It was virtually inaudible on the DVD I got from Netflix, yet the previews for other movies on the DVD had normal volume.
The Tam O'Shanter near Glendale California has a few pegs for hats. According to the maitre d' when I went there this past Wednesday, I was the first person he'd seen use it. :)
Also Canter's Deli in Hollywood has hat racks, and they actually do see use.
