It amazes me how wonderful and crisp the TCM prints of the early films like "The Freshman" were, especially when compared to the rather crummy print they have of 1947's "The Sin of Harold Diddlebock."
I looked at IMDb while watching "Welcome Danger" (1929) and discovered that Harold's...
On a sad note, this month marks the 40th anniversary of the murder of Dino's co-star in "The Wrecking Crew", Sharon Tate.
Great collection. Watch for the "grass" to bulge up like a loose carpet when Dino falls on it. Watch also for Chuck Norris, blink and you'll miss him.
Trouble is, the shop I visited wants $175 for the frames alone, and I've found them for less than half of that online. I'd like to buy them locally, but I don't want to spend ninety bucks extra for the privilege.

My boss has a 1955 Seagrave fire truck powered by a flathead V-12 that was a Pierce-Arrow design that Seagrave bought the rights to after Pierce-Arrow went out of business. I have read that Seagrave continued to build that engine up until 1970, not bad for an early 1930s design.

That's an excellent find!
Wondering if our friends across the pond can report if people in England still refer to any vacuum cleaner as a "Hoover" :)
