Not to add pressure to Sloan, but I gather the website won't be updated with the new gear until his article is out. Let's hope he doesn't get writer's block or it could be a long wait for all of us. :eeek:
In case you haven't noticed yet, Aero have now got some pictures of their new showroom up on their home page. Pity they can't get the smell across, though. I see they've tantalisingly kept the rail on the right out of the picture, as that's where the new stuff is.
Ah... I didn't even look on the left as military's not my thing, but there seemed to be a lot. It'll be interesting to see what you chose from the right, as I tried on a couple I really liked.
I was surprised the waistcoat wasn't even on the rack, seeing as it's so nice, but it was good to...
You must have missed me by minutes, major. Dare one ask if you bought one of the pre-prods on the rack on the right, or were you picking up a final version? Was the one above made for you?
There should be some immediate sale bargains to come once the show's over, which is a good thing.
The brown pre-prod I tried on had a leather back, but the final version will have tweed instead. If the 38" pre-prod comes up for sale and you have a max 38" chest (it's a tight design), I'd say it's a great buy, as I thought it was good to go. It was interesting to see Ken literally stitching...
Just back from a visit to Aero, where I was lucky enough to have a quick look at the pre-production designs for the new range. The final versions are under lock and key and probably armed guard, so my sobbing and pitiful pleas got no sympathy from Ken.
Having said that, Ken kindly showed me the...
Good you finally got it, as it's certainly been a journey for you. I'm glad you like the length, as it's a good all-rounder that way. You probably didn't have storse before, just plain old 100% heavy steer, hence the big difference. I doubt if Aero would give you mid HH now if you didn't ask for...
I got a couple of chunkies from Sou' West recently and am very happy with them. The thickness is perfect for layering under FQHH in this cold weather we're luckily having in the UK.
Definitely a nice jacket. Mind you, it would be good to see it on someone who wears them less skintight, so those of us who're less blessed can judge. :)
I'm looking forward to seeing Boyo's jacket, especially in cordovan. You're lucky you're happy with such a big sleeve discrepancy though, so maybe your original spec was wrong for you.
With regard to the "bleeding" comments that occasionally crop up, I had that on my cordovan storse, but...
Leather jacket loving journalist stumbles across alleged criminal activity involving local leather factory he's dealt with personally...
Doesn't seem a stretch to me that he'd want to report that, especially when the police are giving quotes. The sum involved and the fact that it's gear from...
Strikes me this debate is teetering out of control, with what can be said having been said. Why not close this down and give us all time to buy popcorn for the next phase, which will probably be an arrest or arrests.
This definitely isn't going away and at least next time there will...
We're all focusing on the jackets, but I'm curious about the gazillion jeans as well. What make, type and are they worth waiting for at a bargain price? Are they even definitely Aero's, seeing as Aero don't make jeans (I think).
