It makes a factory visit even more tempting, what with that lot and all the new designs.
With that mountain of gear Aero must be wanting to flog it quick to get some cash in.
Holly, given that Aero have come into an apparently massive stock increase very recently, can we expect to see some bargains on the sale page, and maybe a reduction in waiting times?
I specifically like the patch pockets as you can put thin stuff in without it falling out and they're tougher than material inners.
I'd almost certainly have bought Nr.2 because of the buttons, pockets and back, so am really curious as to what's considered better.
To the non-rider, that has to be the single most incomprehensible post ever on these boards. I know it's in English, but the rest is a total mystery...:first:
I can't imagine Aero needing to raise their profile any higher on this board.
I suppose they just let the products (and the controversy) speak for themselves.
It'll be interesting to see how this new tack develops though.
To be fair, buttons are only painful for the first few days. The wider flat buttons are the worst, but the smaller round ones aren't much bother.
I prefer the button look.
I got a couple of their bridle leather belts recently and am very pleased with them. They're much more solid than the soft stuff you get everywhere and not that much more expensive (unless you're talking about their crazy-priced lined & raised belt).
In my case, I felt that Belstaff just couldn't possibly be the pinnacle of leather toughness, despite the advertising.
I wasted money on two though, although there was a ready market of buyers on eBay when I got rid.
Jack, your wife is clearly a woman of taste and refinement :) My family comes from Melrose and we often go back to visit and walk along the River Tweed. IMHO, it's infinitely preferable to Galashiels, although inevitably it's expanded quite a bit over the decades.
My biased advice to any...
Schitzo, if you're going in August, will you be going on to the Edinburgh Festival and Fringe? It'll be heaving then and livelier than a bag of ferrets, and I mean that in a good way. I love Edinburgh in August, and Galashiels will seem like the dark side of the moon in comparison, but in a...
I suppose that from a pure business point of view, Aero don't need a shop anywhere as they can sell 100% of their output from their existing, probably relatively cheap to run factory. A shop would probably either mean longer waiting times for those who'd prefer the odd minor modification or...
I can't place that at all, despite living there for years. Maybe the name changed. Just found out it changed to the Odeon.
I went to many a film there.
Interesting link. It's good to get a side view from someone who was there.
Back to the original topic - Sloan, I take it you're on a news...
Sloan, it was the Apollo. Just checked Wiki and it was Feb 9 1977. It really doesn't seem that long ago, but it was a great night. According to Wiki, it was the Street Survivors tour, but the posters and programmes called it One More for the British Road, after the big US tour of the previous...
Showing my age, but I had the great pleasure of seeing them at probably their peak in Glasgow in I'm sure 1977, not long after the live album, and just before the plane crash. That was one of their new songs that night, but the overall performance of all the classics was outstanding.
The downside for us mere punters is that the new designs and increased buzz will only lengthen the waiting times.
Apropos Willy Wonka, a nice idea would be for Aero to draw a couple of punter's names out of the hat each month and give them immediate delivery.
