I agree Schitzo. I'd said before here that Aero should have a monthly draw where an ordinary citizen (or two) could be picked at random to have their jackets made immediately. At least that would give UK people some hope. The 6 month wait is actually putting me off buying now, although I do...
I kind of understand the theory there, but I reckon most of us are more interested in how the jacket fits a human rather than the age or appearance of who's wearing it. I'm thinking things like where the hem lies on a pair of jeans compared to the height of the person wearing it, or whether it...
Sloan, it was good to go back over that link now the dust has settled. After having had some time to look through the Aero site in more detail, it was really useful to see the jackets again on real people.
It would be even better to have the same for all the other jackets so that we can make...
You're just about to topple over the slippery slope...
Best to just throw yourself into the first one, get it over with asap, and accept that you probably won't nail it until the second or third. :)
Very possibly. Dolly was cloned only about 20 miles up the road from Aero, so who knows what other top secret maniacal experiments and creations were unleashed on the leather-wearing public. :)
My inclination would be to go for the Teamster if it's length you want. I'd be wary of adding 2" or more to a short jacket when there's a very similar longer one already out there. You have a 38 Stockman, so a 38 Teamster should be trimmer than that.
IMHO, the less you mess with any basic...
The UK wait time is definitely painful, so we need to forward plan. I placed an order recently for an autumn delivery, but at least Aero don't charge you until production, so that gives us months to save up for it. Next month deliveries are just the thing of dreams for us. :(
Great looking jacket, Fanch. Even better that you're able to wear it to work and get more use out of it.
Mind you, you've only had it five minutes and now you're agonising over the next one...:) Are you tempted by Insurrection's quick turnaround to knock 4 or 5 months off the wait?
"We Have All the Time in the World" - Louis Armstrong. A lovely song with meaningful lyrics that combines some things of significance to me - love for a good woman, something beyond this life and it's also a theme from our favourite James Bond film, OHMSS.
That film is set in a part of...
"Alexander Hamilton" by Ron Chernow. I came across Hamilton's name whilst reading about the history of Manhattan and whilst visiting there. Given his obvious importance to early US and financial history and the fact that his name surely meant Scottish ancestry, I had to learn more.
It turns out...
Mine's the abbreviation for Walt Disney World. I had three wonderful holidays there with my wife and children and since then use wdw and one of the years as my email accounts.
I tried one on a couple of weeks ago and quite liked it, although it's a much tighter fit than I'd normally wear. The suede seems pretty thick and the general impression was that it was a quality item.
Good buy. Looking forward to the fit pics.
I feel that the weight thing is often overplayed. This 2.7kg is almost identical to my 38" Stockman, which doesn't bother me at all. The really heavy weights we often hear about (3.5kg upwards) seem to be usually steer (knowingly or not), which I...
