all the sniping aside, what a great hat!:eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap
I was looking at that offering, and of course, like everyone else ('cept one)
didn't think it was worth a look; I forgot-the thrill of the hunt is the real juice
for me; after a lotta years of doing this, I got jaded...
First- congratulations!:eusa_clap
Second- I've always found that using steam-judicioulsly-is much, much easier with a new hat; don't overdo it, just get the felt nice & warm, a little damp-don't have to soak the poor thing, and start adjusting slowly-keep the kettle on, give the hat a little...
Will you look at the smile on that man's face? think he's happy with his
new Fedora? WOW.
Rare that you see a face & a hat that just seem to be made for each other-
I think Art & Phil really worked this one out-congratulations!:eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap
ANJ- SUPER HAT!!! I really hope that the color is close to the photo-never
seen an OR in a Green like that...if you happen to have any 7 1/2's kicking around, I could help with paying for the OR...:D
GREAT HAT!! I won something eerily similar a while back-my hat's the same as yours, with a slight difference in color; in the shots of the hat on the white cloth, where the hat is the darkest-it almost matches my hat; I think mine is a bit darker, has some hue of dark green that's just...
hmmm...graphite grey suit, crisp white shirt, Deco inspired tie-not too loud.
went to my favorite vintage store this past Sat., our little college surrounded city was hoppin', all the bikers came out to show off (me too) what another year has done to us...parked the bike in front of the...
would you be so kind as to photograph the step-by-step process, if you
can/care to? it would really be a big help to the many newcomers to the Lounge, and it sure would help jar the memory of some of us addle-pated old so&so's...[huh]
Looked at it for a moment, said "not me!" and started to press the next button on the keyboard. Went back, looked again, and again, and -if that had been a 7 3/8,....watta hat!! congratulations, wear it well!:eusa_clap
I'm 55. Ride a lot, so wear leather jackets. I do wear different kinds of leathers, though-the old-fashioned "biker" jacket isn't in my closet at all, only have the tab-collar, sport-type jackets ( have a Walter Dyer that's like thick butter) and a few with collars; and I wear them when I'm not...
:eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap In the time that I've been reading threads/replies on this site, this has been one of the most enjoyable,
informative, energetically responded to and fact-filled, ever.
Thank you one and all for answering most of the major questions raised
about hats in...
If at all possible, I for one would appreciate the opportunity to buy before the jackets hit the eBay free-for-all; it's very nice of you to mention the jackets on the Lounge-is it possible to offer some to us?
Thanks-M[huh]
They're two really different animals; the Whippet has an edging in grosgrain around the brim that's 3/8" wide, has a 2" ribbon, and a cut that's decidedly more dramatic than the Strat.
Can't find my Stratoliner, so can't compare dimensions; that's my take on 2 of my favorite hats; wearing a...
