Oops, you're right, of course, HD. I knew it was something with a collar, but café racers are beyond my ken. My vote would be to leave as is and get different jeans, as the length seems fine. Damned sight cheaper, at any rate.
I'm no expert on the Sheene, but I thought it was simply a HWM with a collar. That would make it a short jacket, to which you've added quite a lot of length already.
I'd say your jeans are the problem, not the jacket. I'm the same height as you and would normally wear a 24.5"-25" back on a...
Holly, are the storse jackets in addition to the nicked ones? Surely he wouldn't nick the dodgy jackets too?
As for more info, I definitely understand the logistics part, but without some basic details like numbers of individual sizes and the general types of jacket, it would be too much of a...
I'm tempted to go to this, but I'd be very keen to know beforehand what sizes will be for sale. I wouldn't want to go down to find there was nothing suitable.
Equally, any further breakdown at all would be helpful, even if it was down to: short HB, long HB, car coat, military, sheepskin etc.
If you want long wait times, try the infamous Lawless Denim (6 months, then never and lose all your money), or Ciano Farmer (4 months and rising), both for simple jeans.
After the storse debacle and the traitrous mass exodus, Aero's wait time was about 6 months, but now they're almost down to...
@BobJ is right about the pockets. My first jacket had double pockets which was a mistake, so my later ones kept them separate. I never had any issues with using my non-dominant hand, so hopefully you won't.
FWIW, I wouldn't overthink every aspect of your first jacket, as that can only lead to...
I'd have said it's a bit long as is. As @handymike says it's a short jacket and should sit just above the back pockets.
Other than that, all sounds good.
Thought I might as well update this thread with my newer new Teamster. This one is cordovan, same specs as the last with the more useful Sunburst pockets and an unfastened inner pocket. I asked for a dark hide and that's what I got. Made by Julie, as usual, so thanks again to her for a great job.
I've tried that and still got hit. A gift just means you're allowed an extra £20. The Americans can import $800 free of tax, yet we can only get freakin' £35 inc. shipping and insurance.
Just curious - have any UK guys been hit for customs on a GW? Adding over 20% is a serious chunka change. I get hit more often than not, so the risk is high.
I'm guessing it's the Ibis. Smack in the middle of everything. If you like music, check out the Jazz Bar, Whistlebinkie's and Stramash listings. All within 200 (300?) yards of each other, the latter two free.
You won't go wrong around that area, and hardly any staggering distance involved...
South Bridge is very central, so a fine location. No problem at all walking any where at that time. I often go to the Jazz Bar and Whistlebinkie's for live music, both near North/South Bridge and it's always very busy and calm until at least midnight.
The only place I'd be a little nervous of...
