I thought you guys were both returning them for a rebuild, according to the SJC site. How long will that take? Will you then get a refund if it doesn't work?
How much for the Attractions, @Jkohl, how long for delivery and where from?
All these stories we often hear about long and painful breaking-ins surely just mean the shoe/boot is too small. I tend to err on the side of a bit too large rather than a bit too small and only once have had a problem.
That was on a new pair of vintage DMs which came in smaller than same size...
I'd never heard of Attractions, but found this... http://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/ic-new-attractions-269-steer-engineer-boots-9-5.80360/
They look fine and seem narrower than others, so may work better. I also much prefer that standard heel shape to the square ones the OP got. The toe...
Never heard of Tenderloin/K Seven, but I got the BR N-1 last year in L and the size matches HP, who I agree knows his stuff size-wise. I'd trust him over a random EBay guy any day, but the eBay guy may simply be wrong.
Remember the lining is quite thick, so it's a bit neater inside than...

He seems to do stock Wesco Boss from size US7/UK6. I bought three pairs from him and he was extremely helpful. He also ships worldwide.
Ha, @Jkohl, for Brian's prices you could fly to the US AND buy decent boots for the same price. I think Wesco Boss are only $420 there. Before Brexit, that was only about £270, which is why I got two pairs plus Wesco Jobmasters.
@Jkohl, have you factored in Brian's cost plus import duty, not to mention the pound's recent fall? I think he's about $1,300 (£1,000 at today's rate), then you'd have a very high chance of getting hit for over 20% tax and duty.
There must surely be a cheaper way. You could literally fly to...
I have two pairs of Wesco engineers and they're both kinda tight over the arch, but my toes don't touch the front and I have minimal heel lift. I took a punt on the sizing online, but they worked for me with no issues over having to try all sorts of things to make them work. They're just boots...
Definitely agree about Greenwich Village. We've stayed there a few times, including last month, and just love the area. It's a million miles from Times Square and Midtown.
There are countless bars, restaurants, cafes, small shops and music joints, and Washington Square is always great to...
Great dancing and great music. Boogie woogie's something you just don't see enough of nowadays. Edinburgh has some great rockin' blues bands, but I only know of one guy who does boogie woogie, and then not enough.
Great looking jacket and great fit, @Fanch. And what a fantastic story behind the delivery, one that makes it so much more than just a jacket, even an Aero.:)
I've always wanted to see the Sheiks when they regularly do the Jazz Bar in Edinburgh, but they only ever do midnight starts, which is too late for my old bones.
As it happens, the Dana Dixon band are doing the Jazz Bar that same night for the Fringe, and they're always great to see, if you...
@willyto, it's a great time to visit Edinburgh, as the Fringe, the Festival and the Tattoo are all in full swing. The only problem will be having enough time to do everything.
Shame, but the sleeves are too short and it looks too long in the body too. Much better to bite the bullet and buy one direct from Aero that's made for your measurements.
I wouldn't be surprised if the pound is back near where it was by the time Aero charge for your jacket, so the thing to do would be to pay upfront, asap, to lock the low price in. I don't see why Aero wouldn't be amenable to that, as it's cash flow for them.
Scotland has already rejected independence, more than once, so I wouldn't read too much into the EU vote in that respect.
I just look forward to when things calm down, people look rationally at all this and then make the best of it going forward.
