The brand on an item like this probably doesn't matter much. Clamping collar bars like that usually slip a bit, but the problem gets worse the wider the collar spread, and the thicker the tie.
EDIT: Just saw the 100% cotton - I'm a bit baffled what that even means. Obviously, if a collar...
A faux slip on the waistcoat of a sport suit - looks like someone has taken HBK's quote about "dressing up" one's country wear a little too literally...

This arrangement of pleats has been documented in several screen captures in the "Show Us Their Suits" thread, but not in the flesh, as it...
Offering for sale this gray two piece Clothcraft suit made for the Toggery in Butte, MT in the early 1950s. A conservative take on the Bold Look. Condition is excellent, no tears, mothing, odors, or repairs.
Jacket boasts a slightly slouchy four-on-six button stance, with jigger in tact and...
I wouldn't be too sure. I've found most dry cleaners are reticent to take on especially difficult stains, for fear that if their processes damage the fabrics, you will hold them responsible. If a simple dry clean doesn't fix the problem, they hand the suit back with shrugged apologies. Anyway...
That's funny - I really like the shirt. I'd kind of given up on patterned dress shirts in favor of stripes, but your mico-gingham has given me ideas...
Great look HBK. Micro-gingham is good for dress shirting. I find larger ginghams tend to overwhelm a tie. Dig the slanted breast pocket, and those lapels as well.
to bring this thread back on topic, anyone seen these yet?

From what I understand, and Isshi and Cookie are the true experts in these shoe topics - Allen Edmonds is basically an entry-level decent shoe. So, especially if you are picking up seconds, or used items on ebay, you'll get a much better shoe for your $150.00 dollars than if you bought something...
You pull the neckerchief off well. I also like that red pullover shirt that looks to be chambray..and where did you find those tortoiseshell sunglasses? They are excellent.
Great looks TT. Love the color combos. Always good to be reminded that classically good dressing needn't always mean "suit + tie." Hope the northeast treated you well!
I love these boots. I have them in both brown and black. They are durable, and well made, FOR THE PRICE POINT. You can do a lot better than AE, but probably not for such a humble amount of fundage. You can also find Fifth Streets on ebay pretty frequently, new or lightly used, which would...
Papperskatt, you are embodying Hardy Amies' sage maxim: "A man should look as if he has bought his clothes with intelligence, put them on with care and then forgot all about them."
Very well done. I especially like the insouciant way you wear your tie, which isn't so contrived as to qualify as...
HBK, your aversion to needless dogmatisms and arcane formulas is wise. The menswear world is cluttered with them, and there is certainly no need for us to be manufacturing more here. But my short experience in vintage jackets (zing) has taught me that there is such a thing as too short...
I think your theory is probably sound Fastuni. The chunky buttons are strange - they work, sort of, but seem very different from any buttons on any other vintage garment I own. Also, why are there two throat latch buttons, but only one throat latch that is stitched to the lapel?
I'll keep any...
I think short jackets can accentuate what we love about the classic silhouette, in much the same way as properly proportioned waistcoats. They make your legs look longer, and add definition to your figure around the middle, especially if they have good waist suppression. But - there is a point...
Honestly, I'd pass. "346" is part of BB's outlet mall line - so you're looking at a step down in quality from the blazers you'd find in a BB proper - i.e., a jacket held together by glue. The waist suppression looks more defined than it really is because the mannequin is too big for the jacket -...
