There is a great deal more.....the size is the circumference NOT the measurement front to back. And you will loose brim and/or crown when going up any more than one size.
I am VERY sorry to hear you are shrinking larger hats...:eek::eek::eek: ESPECIALLY if as you say it is so easy to stretch...

I have been down to the Bardstown Kentucky area many times for the Whiskey Museum and the auctions and toured the many distilleries in Kentucky as well as the one near Mount Vernon in Virginia...
