I am really digging the stars! They are a way cool period custom ad on! I would say likely done at a saddle shop, custom clothing or unusual hat shop....... I have seen period western clothes with such adornments. Those are really well done and too cool for words!

More Stetson fashion plates.......Spring 1924. Of note in addition to a Stetsonian in stiff and soft versions (also seen in 1922) we see the first referance I have found to the Stetson "Whippet"!! Made in soft felt with a 5 1/2 inch crown and a 2 1/2 inch RAW edge!!!

Yes, I have seen simular creases too....don't know if any were really named or not. I just like wonky creases when I have enough pliable felt.....plus.....I "listen to the hat".;)

EDIT I must say I have done this sort of thing with many of my vintage (and new when possible) as the felt...
