Well, no different really than with the two piece (worn with hat cords) where the buckle has to be in the back....and it is a larger buckle.......but then if you really want a nap...the hat come off, covers the face from the sun was we lay on the nice ?soft? grass......oh the days......;););)...
The "Ike Jacket" as it came to be known was started by our army "fly fly boys" who when arriving in England liked the look of the british short coats of the English battle dress uniforms and cut down their class A coats to that design. They also found them quite comfortable.....

My Stetsonians (as do my Strats) do that in a heavy wind.........always reminds me I am wearing a hat.....and it means you are wearing a good soft fedora!

Thank you very much! I have actually been working on properly archiving my collection and actually placing my Stetson collection chronologically in binders.
I wish I had the ability to do the same with this thread so people could referance the time of each ad better.........I have that ability...
