They do, well some of them do...
Here is a bit of zipper porn for anyone doubting the worth of the upgrade:
No10 Standard main zipper;
No10 "Connecting rod" zipper:

Sleeve/pocket zippers:
No6 Nickel C&C (not available anymore):
No6 Brass (silver paint) C&C...
What is the bottom hem measurement, measured side to side with the jacket zipper up?
Also do the laces go lower than can be seen, are there more holes beneath the belt, or just the 5 per side visible ones?
Edit: and did you measure the arms straight down or along the curve?
Thanks.
To me that's already a relaxed fit, any bigger would be oversized...
Don't understand how you measure that, cause my 2 size 40 bootleggers have 24.5" pit to pit and my size 40 Grizzly has 25.5.
My size 42 CR is 24" and even that is large for a size 42! (average for other brands is 22.5 to 23.5)
I disagree, i'm a 41" chest, wear mostly a size 42 and wear a 42 Dominator.
If you use Aero as your "standard", then maybe yes you should size up. But that's more to with Aero being huge for their tag size that the opposite way around. Aero is the only brand where i have to size down to a 40...
The two i posted above have different linings, brown is thin cotton tartan, black is thickest wool lining.
Maybe get a black regular CR, that have a bit more room than the BR.
I think it's more about what colour you prefer to wear rather than what looks better in one colour or the other.
I have black and brown jackets, but i would rather wear black than brown and end up wearing black 95% of the time.
Every time i bought a brown jacket thinking "this one will make me...
I think that when Monitor uses the word "pattern" he means 'how a jacket fits, how it is designed to work with the body" not what it looks like from a design point of view.
Here is a picture i just took , i tried to use leathers i thought you could relate to:
From left to right: Lewis Cow, Shinki Horse (DD), Shinki Horse (Himel), CXL HH, Vicenza HH, ELMC HH.
I know it's hard to believe but the Lewis is actually the most worn jacket of the 6, it was worn on and...
That's the regular cow IMO, the veg tan one is teacore.
Great looking jacket, a way to identify it as a women's jacket, which i had not noticed until seeing both yours and my GF's above is that the label is on the right hand side of the chest, on men's jackets its on the left side.
I didn't see...
And these i took yesterday for Monitor, horse hide on the left, cow hide on the right.
The horsehide one i bought used and it was the only leather jacket the previous owner had, it is pretty heavily worn, shows zipper wear, scuffs on wrists elbows etc, but still looks super smooth and shiny.
The...
Superfluous, I have never felt more prepared to answer your questions, i wish my years at school had been that easy...
I own two LL one in horse one in cow, my GF has a cow Super Monza and she loves it.
1: Quality is very good to excellent. Both of my Lewis are stitch perfect. My GF's one had...
I don't think the price of that Veg Tan hide is actually that bad if you think about it.
Take the new FieldLeathers for example, £850 for Badalassi, £1000 for Shinki, unknown maker.
Diamond clothing, regular leather $949, Shinki $1149, unknown maker.
Bill Kelso, £800 for "regular" Liberty, £1850...
I saw that jacket and it looks like it would easily weigh that much... No problem with that one for me!
I only have problems with things that are obviously not possible. Like a 10lb size small CXL Schott...
IMO there is barely any difference between their cowhide and their horsehide.
They are clearly aiming for similar qualities/characteristics in both hides.
I wouldn't say one is better than the other, they are both pretty thin, they are both pretty smooth, they both lack character i think.
It's...
I wouldn't shorten it, it finishes just above your front pockets which looks "correct".
It's supposed to be slightly longer than a regular CR.
I like it as it is and don't think you would gain anything by shortening it.
