Try turning the scales on with the empty hanger hanging already, it should tare when it starts and will then show -xxx when you remove the hanger.
Interesting that my J-23 is around 3oz, but still much heavier than an Aero CXLHH that is supposed to be 3-3.5oz.
I think it kinda shows the...
Worst thing is the guy is a rock, early 70s but looks like he is in his late 50s, farmed all his life, will work all day and night during harvest season like it was nothing, literally a force of nature...
I have some French extended family (my cousin's husband) that were just like that when all this chaos started.
When the government started telling people to stop shaking hands and stay at home they laughed and made fun.
They organized a friend/family dinner two weeks into isolation, 15 people...
Agree with HD, to me you have crossed into "looks like you are wearing somebody else's jacket" territory, body and sleeves are too long and the jacket could probably be a size smaller too.
This confirms one thing to me:
People who don't have scales usually think their jackets are much heavier than they actually are.
@JMax ,care to weigh your LW and add to the list? I'm sure i remember you saying you were getting scales too.
My Leathertogs arrived in a box that weighs 1kg (990gr), so it was 4.5kg boxed, 3.44kg unboxed.
I have another jacket sized box here that is slightly thinner and weighs 750gr.
If your SD was 4. something kg boxed i doubt it actually is as heavy as you think it is unboxed...
Same for the Natal...
Scale is ok, i just controlled it with a weight and it is accurate (the weight i used is around 1.250kg and the scales give me readings between 1.260 and 1.270)
Did you use a real accurate scale to get these numbers or your bathroom/cooking scales? Cause the old "weigh myself without the...
I'll believe it when i see it...
I've weighted enough leather jackets to know that 8lb doesn't come up every day, that's more than my comp weight Vanson Chopper, and i refuse to believe a Schott will be heavier than that until i see it with my eyes....
Why water? Just speed, all it does is mold...
Nice!
I was actually thinking it's a great deal, i saw some minging J-24 go for similar money on their own, there you are getting jacket + pants in great condition.
If it was my size i would BIN that set.
It looks similar to the J-24-H mentionned on page 85 of "ultimate biker fashion" but with belt loops instead of elastic bands, but not an exact match.
The "Sta-down back" is actually mentioned in the small add on the top right corner and shows a very similar back.
They make no mention of a Long...
I don't think that's actually a J-23, the back kidney panel has a different stitching and it has a back yoke.
I'm looking in my books but can't find a match.
The trousers look like Buco though...
Do you also notice a difference in wind chill effect when wearing it?
I feel like the effects of cold wind are much worst when wearing a regular leather jacket than a grizzly.
It does feel 25.5 ptp, the shearling doens't take any space as it is on the outside...
Honestly if this jacket was exactly the same but in leather it would look ridiculous and oversized, but the fact that the sheepskin panels are so soft and fluffy means it doesn't. It just turns you into a big...
It's warm, but it's not sweaty like a sheepskin on the inside can be.
It's around 15c /60f right now and i could wear the grizzly without dying if i only wore a T-shirt.
Comfort wise it is probably my favourite Aero, it fits really well, it actually sits on the shoulders not the neck. And it is...
They are warmer than a regular leather jacket, but not as warm as a sheepskin jacket.
To me a grizzly is wearable much more often than a regular sheepskin, as i am always too hot in my B3.
Compared to a regular leather jacket i would say the biggest difference is that the fur on the outside...
