Round Robin/Beauty product swap box? Anyone interested?

It's not a drastic difference in money, but time is an issue going over the border - That is to say, it won't get to us in a hurry, but once we send it back it'll be fast. To fix this problem, if there were enough Canadian ladies interested then maybe we could send it amongst ourselves in...

    Miscellaneous Vintage Photos

I'm not sure how miscellaneous this is, but it's certainly bizarre: Andy Warhol's Tuna Fish Disaster. It concerns two women (pictured) from Detroit who died after eating tainted tuna fish sandwiches. I saw the original silkscreen at the Art Gallery of Ontario a few years back, and part of...

    Pale or Tan?

Maybe more polite, in that we apologize and thank everybody too much, but I don't know about friendly :p

    Pale or Tan?

It gets me, too. I don't know whether its because of South Park, but young people have a real thing about "gingers." I had one friend who was quite pale and freckled with flaming orange hair, and when we went to an amusement park, he was pointed and laughed at many times! It wasn't just...

    Show Us Your Purchases!

I picked up two head vases today. This one, which I'm guessing is 50's, the vendor told me is a rare nurse vase: The second I didn't buy, because my aunt suddenly remembered she had one, and gave it to me afterwards. It reminds me so much of Betty Grable in The Dolly Sisters:

The extra time you spend getting ready because you wear vintage.

It's pretty humid here, so I have the same problem. The only solution is to cover your hair :(

this is a question for the dames (gals)

Hey, you took Jean Harlow! :p In 1932, I'm Joan Crawford, and I've just starred in Grand Hotel. My flapper days are over, but I've got a whole new career ahead of me... Or 3... :)

This is a question for the GUYS...

I knew we met somewhere ;) Reminds me of the car in Mildred Pierce that Veda was driving. It's amazing!

This is a question for the gals....

Holy cats, thats some kind of coincidence! My description pretty well sets down my boyfriend too (he looks dreamy in his all whites), but I doubt he knows the song exists. Maybe I was reincarnated...

Round Robin/Beauty product swap box? Anyone interested?

Is it American only? I'd understand fully - International postage from USPS can sometimes get steep, and Canada customs has a habit of holding your packages hostage at the border. I think they use them for coffee tables.

Comments You Get When You Dress Vintage

That's kind of ignorant of the conductor. He only sees the style, not the people. The style is apart of the people, not completely of them!

The extra time you spend getting ready because you wear vintage.

Arghh!! Flip-flops grate me spiritually! It's stiletto heels all the way. Even on the beach, I wear wedge heeled espadrilles. (Granted, I don't do non-vintage!)

The extra time you spend getting ready because you wear vintage.

I find vintage to be quicker too! Though I never really did the whole "normal" thing, and I started dressing vintage at 17, I found my more modern look to be a bigger hassle, mainly because my hair required more maintenance and morning styling. Now, like many others I set my hair at night, and...
