Not at all! I have a gingham sundress that I've altered at least 5 times (the seams, the shoulders, and the bust darts.) It really depends on the specific article of clothing. Most of the clothes I have that don't fit me anymore are because they're too small, usually if I've had them for years (Time = poundage). If I'm not married to it, it gets donated. If I am, I have a look inside and see if I can take it in...- C-dot

Thanks ladies. The acetone did work, and I used the bowl method forthworthgal mentioned. I wasn't able to buff it off, though - I had to use the edge of my metal nail file to scrape it off, and it took some hard scrapin'. Surprisingly, most of the shellac came off without damaging my nails... -

Ahh, I don't agree. I detest the heat, and I love the long winter! Make-up stays on better, I can wear darker colours, I can wear stockings and hats, etc... The winters in my neck of the woods aren't nearly as brutal as yours, eh olive bleu? ;) -
