A breakdown of Fedora Loungers by sex, location, age and marital status

I'll bite. Female, early 20's, boyfriended, living in Toronto, Canada. I love pizza, old movies, and long walks on the beach...

    The Good News Thread

Good luck to you! Being contacted is very promising. I'm still looking for a full time job, months after I finished college, so I know how frustrating it can be.

    How deep is your style?

That's one reason why I love the vintage look for both men and women - Ladies look so feminine, and fellas look so masculine. I haven't seen a whole lot of men in a vintage look under 75, so they would never appear dime-a-dozen to me :)

I do too! Makes me feel like I remind them of days gone by, which to us is success :D Cute cute cute dress by the way!

    In Praise of FL Lurkers

I don't see the sucking-up either... If anything, I'd call it "mutual admiration," which we need more of these days!

    The Good News Thread

I haven't made a tiramisu in such a long time... I'm inspired again :D That one looks delicious! My good news: Today I'm going to do something I've wanted to do since I was a child... Go to Build-a-Bear! I never grew out of teddy bears and since I first saw that shop, I wanted to go. I didn't...

    How deep is your style?

That's scary - I was feeling like this just last night! I was curled up in bed watching a Malt Shop Memories concert on PBS, and getting so excited seeing the bands perform again. They're obviously much older now and their voices don't sound the same (though they were still good), but I...

    Translucent brows...ungh

This sounds very close to home ;) Generally fair redheads can get away with a taupe or ginger-red colour. Urban Decay has these cute little brow boxes with a precision brush, two different colours, and wax to keep it tidy. It even comes with little tweezers! I got the gingersnap shade as...

Scarcity of Roles for People of Color

That's exactly what I was thinking! They do keep stories going smoothly, and (shoot me for admitting this) they are pretty funny... Especially the Pepé le Pew type Frenchman lol Every culture is made fun of like this, though, sometimes by its own culture. Most of it shouldn't be taken too...

    Dita Von Teese

Well, you know how it is... I usually use the Blahniks for kitchen work  Sure! We'll get a bunch of the FL ladies together and have a scone baking, Louboutin wearing, hell raising shindig :D

I lurked for about 3 months before I signed up. The reason: I didn't have a proper email yet lol

I've been reading this a lot from contributors to this thread. I guess that's decidedly modern of me, having quite a few of each lol

Scarcity of Roles for People of Color

They sure did! My mister is Middle Eastern, and when I showed him some of the TCM pictures, he was ruffled: "Why do they dress us like Indians?!" lol You could be right. My theory is that since these characters were no more than comic foils, they had to be comedic. And stereotypes are...

"Mad Men" on AMC (US) - (Spoilers Within)

Satisfaction guaranteed! I decided to watch it for the clothes/music/cars etc... but I ended up addicted to the storyline.

Oh no! I hope you're going to ask for your money back. I too wish you luck in your new search!

How to wear hats without ruining your hair-do

Yep, many hairstyles are designed to work around hats. Personally, I wear certain hairstyles with corresponding hats. Berets go with any style; doll or tilt hats work with rolled updos; fedoras are big enough to fit over any hair; and sunhats go with free and easy hair anyway. The other...
