Forgive me if there is already a post like this (I did search!), but I realised I have a lot of neat, miscellaneous vintage/vintage-related photos that really don't fit any of the threads here. So why not start a thread for those pictures?

Anything vintage or vintage-related that you think is neat can be posted here, along with a description/why you think it's neat. I'll start. I was doing a little "exploring" in the basement of my building last night and I found this:

Vintage graffiti! We opened an old wooden fuse box and there it was. I was in awe (doesn't take much!) Graffiti from July 12, 1943 written in pencil is still there bright as day. There were other "artistic renditions" in the fuse boxes, but this was the oldest I found. I wonder who "PS" was and if he was a trouble-maker, since the next oldest graffiti was dated "69."

Any other bizzarre or miscellaneous photos/finds out there?

I'm not sure how miscellaneous this is, but it's certainly bizarre:

Andy Warhol's Tuna Fish Disaster. It concerns two women (pictured) from Detroit who died after eating tainted tuna fish sandwiches. I saw the original silkscreen at the Art Gallery of Ontario a few years back, and part of the exhibition was the equally bizarre David Cronenberg's commentary: "Did you get the tuna, or did the tuna get you?"

I know what you mean about if a photo fits or not. Sometimes I'll find something interesting and think, does this fit on my thread? lol!! One thing that immediately comes to mind is the vintage door knocker that I posted on the Unexplainable Photos thread. If I had known this thread exisited, I would have probably posted it here instead. The Thanksgiving comic strip would have probably have gone here too. It looks kind of lost on the Ads thread.

I found this picture a while back, but not really sure where it would have belonged. It doesn't belong in the Ad thread and it certainly does not belong in the Unexplainable Photos thread either. [shrugs] I think it's really funny though and colorful. :D

How vintage is vintage? Would yours truly qualify? This was taken at London's Portobello Market circa 1947/8. It's a photo of my parents and the little guy more interested in his ice cream is me. Proof that I once had hair.

Great looking family. I love your mom's coat, your dad's suit and you have quite a nice looking head of hair (do I detect a touch of Brylcreem keeping it in place)?
