What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

The cut of this particular jacket is superior to your other jackets and fits the best of all your stuff. One of the key elements is the V shape it creates (largish shoulders, narrow waist) which is masculine. Most men aren't shaped like that in real life of course, myself included, but that...

^ Michael, I'm really starting to like those old school short leather jackets which were so common decades ago. Nice to see it getting used. Great stuff from everyone.

Show us your oldest leather jacket

Thanks for posting that old German coat and mentioning it was worn in that tv series. Wested makes a copy which might work well for me. Thanks also to whoever posted the old Bates. Can you imagine the skill required to assemble all those pieces of coloured leather? Amazing!

    How are overcoats sized?

Sizing is by suit size, plus Short/Regular/Long. If you're over 6' in height, then aim for long. I've noticed which I'm sure others here have, that true vintage from decades ago is a bit slimmer than more recent stuff. As Vince says, check measurements. But 9 times out of 10 you can just get...

Be honest. What kind of jacket would you want to choose for going on a trip?

To cover all the bases, or most of them, I'd choose a single breasted raincoat like a classic Burberry or London Fog or something. It can be worn with anything, for most situations.

Trench Coat - the 'Ultimate' Thread!

I just got this Aquascutum Kingsgate trench coat from an e-bay seller. It's a tan colour, darker than in the photos. Condition is indistinguishable from new. It's the last of the "made in England" coats, I've got another Kingsgate but later and made in Italy. This UK coat is much heavier and...
