Dark-blue type III-Canvas jacket, today.
I love that first shot man. Little girls love pulling the hair out of dad's beard! It's like a right of passage for father and daughter!Johnson Leathers Jacket - The high today is close to 90 so I'm going to try out the giant vents on this and see how it goes.

Oh yeah. If my daughter were able to get a handful on top of my head I'd be left with a full on power donut. My boys tend to pull only from the top of my head where they have a hard time growing .
Love the rough out side!! Another great look man. You are dialed in!For awhile today I had on this somewhat odd Levis jacket.

Not in very good condition and, unfortunately, missing the belt. It's reversible single layer leather, so suede on one side smooth leather on the other.

Patch pockets on the suede side are entered through the zippers on the smooth side. Contrast stitching.

I suspect it was from sometime in the 1970s.

Sounds like it's going back to jacket weather here for the next couple of days.
Michael
Thanks Ton. I was helping my landlord trundle big garbage cans full of woodchips from a neighbor who was chipping up a bunch of scrub to his garden and he mentioned that he had a leather jacket and a pair of pants that were far too small for him and he was going to donate them. I asked if I could see them and this was the jacket. It needs some stitching repair and there is some wear through on the collar of the rough side. But it's sort of cool so I thought I would see what I could do with it. Or if I wouldn't mind wearing it as is. The pants turned out to be some large cuffed bell bottoms out of uncut corduroy from the same era. Ha ha. Livin' large here. Maybe I'll dig out an old nylon body shirt and wear the whole outfit tomorrow. Ha ha.Love the rough out side!! Another great look man. You are dialed in!
Utterly wicked Michael! Everything there looks great together as an ensemble. And going all in on the 70s with a nylon body shirt, uncut corduroy bell bottoms and some very thick soled Dr Martens.
Dr. D - They were common decades ago, but they are thin on the ground now. I wish I could find more of them. I think they do benefit from being paired with high waisted trousers of the era.^ Michael, I'm really starting to like those old school short leather jackets which were so common decades ago. Nice to see it getting used.
Great stuff from everyone.
Thanks barnabus. I do try to take the whole into account, sometimes at least.Utterly wicked Michael! Everything there looks great together as an ensemble.
Ha ha, the answer to that is far too big and far too small. I have too many things I will probably never wear again and too many of which I need a higher quality or better fitting example. But suffice it to say I have enough to get dressed every day. In something different than I have worn before.
Upper 80's here during the day. High of 48 tomorrow. Right now it's cold enough for the Vanson Sharkman jacket.None... Record high 95 degrees here today...
