I love that first shot man. Little girls love pulling the hair out of dad's beard! It's like a right of passage for father and daughter!

In my experience boys will pull your hair out just as much. I sometimes wonder if I wouldn't have a much thicker beard without my kids pulling it out be the roots all the time.

For awhile today I had on this somewhat odd Levis jacket.

Not in very good condition and, unfortunately, missing the belt. It's reversible single layer leather, so suede on one side smooth leather on the other.

Patch pockets on the suede side are entered through the zippers on the smooth side. Contrast stitching.

I suspect it was from sometime in the 1970s.

Sounds like it's going back to jacket weather here for the next couple of days.

Thanks Ton. I was helping my landlord trundle big garbage cans full of woodchips from a neighbor who was chipping up a bunch of scrub to his garden and he mentioned that he had a leather jacket and a pair of pants that were far too small for him and he was going to donate them. I asked if I could see them and this was the jacket. It needs some stitching repair and there is some wear through on the collar of the rough side. But it's sort of cool so I thought I would see what I could do with it. Or if I wouldn't mind wearing it as is. The pants turned out to be some large cuffed bell bottoms out of uncut corduroy from the same era. Ha ha. Livin' large here. Maybe I'll dig out an old nylon body shirt and wear the whole outfit tomorrow. Ha ha.

High temp here today is supposed to be 64. I like that much better than 93. I decided to wear a different 70s jacket than the Levis from yesterday for my grocery shopping trip.

And going all in on the 70s with a nylon body shirt, uncut corduroy bell bottoms and some very thick soled Dr Martens.

Hope it is fine jacket wearing weather where you are,
Michael

^ Michael, I'm really starting to like those old school short leather jackets which were so common decades ago. Nice to see it getting used.

Great stuff from everyone.
Dr. D - They were common decades ago, but they are thin on the ground now. I wish I could find more of them. I think they do benefit from being paired with high waisted trousers of the era.

Utterly wicked Michael! Everything there looks great together as an ensemble.
Thanks barnabus. I do try to take the whole into account, sometimes at least.

Damn @Michael A. How big is your warbrobe?

Ha ha, the answer to that is far too big and far too small. I have too many things I will probably never wear again and too many of which I need a higher quality or better fitting example. But suffice it to say I have enough to get dressed every day. In something different than I have worn before.

Thanks all,
Michael
