Thanks!
I sleep with them on my head!! lol. Really, Just like you see in the photo. They don't fall out because I lay on my right side and the clips are on my left. I don't put any net or cap on. I used to, but THAT would fall off and get twisted so i just let it air out naturally...
1.) Yes
2.) I sew all my own clothes and to this day I still don't know which side I'm "supposed" to put the buttons on (I always measure it out myself and never follow the pattern!) They go on whichever side "hangs" better. I bet most people in the world don't know this (or care)...
I use these every night. They are easy to use. Just fingerwave your wet hair, squeeze a bit between your fingers to make a ridge, then clip where the ridge is. It doesn't have to be a large or prominent ridge -- just enough to "mark" your hair. Put the wave clip on that ridge, but don't open...
eVERYONE'S HAIR LOOKS CUTE. Here's my first time doing fingerwaves at the front:
Took 5 minutes and I slept in the wave clips to ensure dryness. No product was used but water...
Since it's 2010 and not 1940, I mix over-the-top glamour with everyday housedresses and the like. Like today I have on a blue housedress from 1936 with VERY POOFY sleeves & peter pan collar, matching bold blue eyeshadow, and my platinum hair is done in a finger wave up front and pincurls at the...
Boring 'ole iPod. It's mobile, small, holds every song I own, and can be played privately through headphones (at work) or through any stereo I choose (usually the car stereo drinving to work.)
The Burns & Allen episode from 1942 where Rita Hayworth is a guest where she moves in down the street and Bill Goodwin tries to seduce her (because she says she can't get a date!) LOL. Never laughed so hard in my life.
LOVE LOVE LOVE that pattern!! Whay aren't you *INSIDE* of it???
I finished this yesterday:
It's cute, but not much different than Hollywood 763, which I've made 3 times before. This one I had to size up whereas HW 763 is perfect. Hmmmm, in the future I wonder which pattern...
Ooooh, I love everything.
miss smith = LOVE the panties. I tried to make some recently but didn't size up enough
kamikat = you definitely rock the 50s patterns better than I ever could.
Miss 1929 = Yea, I love that dress. A lot. LOT. But I would look like a lumpy sack of...
To post photos you have to surround the "properties" link with:
[IMG] *insert link* [ /IMG]
but with absolutely no spaces...all one big long link. Or click on the little mountain and a box will pop up. Paste the properties link in there and it will do the IMG tags for you.
Ifthat's...
When I was a little kid I used to lay in my bed at night and watch a man limp up and down the hallway past my bedroom door.
He had on brown chaps, a brown vest, really long brown hair and beard, a big brown cowboy hat, and sunglasses. He didn't come when it rained, though.
I wasn't scared...
On the plane coming home from England, as soon as I stepped on the plane, the steward asked me "Are you a Marilyn fan?" I said "She's alright, but I really like Jean Harlow!"
He then went on to say "Didn't she die really young? Wasn't she only 26?" Me: "Yes, 26 on 1937!"
I bought this two weeks ago and it still hasn't arrived :(
I *love* those seams!
And I bought two from our very own lovely Lauren:
I've been wanting to try scanties!
And I might actually have a bathing suit this summer, providing this one hides the backside area appropriately ;)
