    GW A1

No I didn't choose the details. Regarding the sleeves, I assume they are as per the contract number on the label. My Buzz also has 3 panel sleeves - here's my Aero -

    GW A1

The touch is very pleasant and a positive characteristic. I don't think any type of Horse would drape in the same way as Cape skin. The jacket is light and so is not at all cumbersome or restrictive to movement. Of the A1's I have owned Aero, Buzz R. and now GW I would say this one has '...

    GW A1

Here are some photos of my new jacket made by John Chapman. The jacket is very different from other A1's that I have own[d]. It's very light and soft to the touch and very comfortable to wear, more like a heavy denim shirt. The capeskin is nothing like horsehide [ obvious I suppose] as it has...

LUFTWAFFE jackets - Eagles who Dare to Wear..!

No it's not mine or Aero. I really liked this one but had slight reservations about the padding and the epaulettes. I let it go for £125. Shame as I deeply regret it now. John

Thanks for the kind comment about my jacket. An acquaintance from Berlin gave it to me as an example of how 1930's jackets were made.. The jacket is completely rotten and stinks to high heaven. It's also very small, about a size 34/36. The good news is that some Scots friends of mine are...

The pocket and sleeve zip details look the same to me. The main difference to originals is the colour which was usually white or blue. Were there any brown jackets issued other than those made in Bulgaria ?

    Flying coat

The best one around by far is French and made by a company called Chapal. They have been tanning leather since the 1850's. They make very top end leather goods for the top French fashion houses and F1 Gliterati , including jackets gloves motoring helmets and goggles. They used to be expensive...

DM Luftwaffe Jacket I like this sheepskin. The question is how authentic is it and is it worth £500 ? http://www.doursoux.com/product_info.php?cPath=969_993&products_id=669&language=en&osCsid=ouig3lf18ribl86v0c2gj7gk72

    WWII German sizes

The rule of thumb I use is the German size is 10 more than US/UK. 54 is 44 and so on.

    WWII German sizes

Ah ! don't know the answer to that. In fact how do the two sizes relate ? For example, a size 36 [ inches]US is not a size 92 [cm] in European size. What do the numbers actually refer to?

    WWII German sizes

Hi Ingo, I buy jackets from Germany all the time. I would say US/UK 42 is approximately size 52 European, and 44/46 is 54 European. This might help - http://goeurope.about.com/cs/shopping/l/bl_clothes_size.htm John

    help!

I think that most of the jackets popular with members here are designed for sitting on a motorbike or in a plane. Thick leather arms will drain energy while you work, and when wet leather takes an age to dry out. The only vintage type leather garment I can think of that was/is worn during...

    Admiral Byrd from Aero

There's a Youtube US army vid. of incendiary rounds easy piercing 3/4 [18] mm manhole covers. Apparently they can take out APC 's. Wonder how much they cost £10 k ?
