    Hi Noel, no throat latch but a continuous zip right to the top. It is very difficult to zip right up as there is a change of direction where the throat and chin meet.

    Yes they do, but be quick if you want one as most of the production is geared to fulfilling Japanese orders. It is my understanding that materials are ordered in batches for runs of pre-ordered jackets. When they run out there is a wait until the next batch.

    Sorry that was insensitive of me. What I meant was that for 100 % accuracy you may need to spend a little bit more cash. The $750 versions are not true to original construction. I haven't seen a US Authentic jacket so I don't know if they have the correct collar construction with the double...

    That is a very well balanced answer. I think the companies mentioned might have to source skins from countries where animal welfare is not a major issue , and horses are mistreated. China is the first country that comes to mind.
