What bothers me is that fashion and trends are two very divergent things....sometimes. In this instance I will ALWAYS opt for what is most FLATTERING and occasion-appropriate based upon tradition. I will not go bare-legged at age 50, 60, or if I have varicose veins.
I did feel like a conservative prude. But if you have leg acne, is it too much to wear pantyhose? How about a wrinkle-free suit for the best man? Or not having your bra cups show the cut is so low? I love cork wedges but not at a wedding.
I was at a wedding in New York City this past weekend that was semi-formal. The majority of women were not wearing nylons and many wore open toe shoes and sandals (not peep toe).
