I think you are correct. Some Anj-4 's are the same as the m445 variants.

I love the Navy sheepskins particularly because they have no wool at the waist and cuffs.
The m445a does have the goatskin belt and buttons with the square arm patches[at least mine does]. The m445 has no buttons and has diamond arm patches and the zip is full length up to the throat..
Not sure about the m445b...it could be something as small as whether the cuffs are sheep skin or...
Very beautiful blades that are honestly priced considering the amount of work skill and knowledge required.
I read recently that some Saxon swords were made from laminated iron like Japanese Katana, but pre-date them by centuries. Perhaps this is where the legends come from regarding magic blades ?
I once owned a very similar jacket that I sold to someone in the States. It was very small and very short, like a bellhop's jacket or ceremonial horse man's jacket and even had the lapel insignia.
