    Aero leather...is a 10 month wait excessive ?

I know from experience how disheartening it is to wait so long for something. Because Aero are so accommodating on repairs and custom work it makes them very busy as they never say no to a request. Why not contact them again today before 12 when they close, to get a delivery date that they can...

ALL REPRO R.A.F. Irvin type jackets

Looks good to me. Try wearing it with the belt fastened tightly and with the zip slightly open at the chest. I like the rib in that skin , loads of character.

The earlier one's are definitely better, but Alan told me and this has been confirmed recently by the man who actually tans the sheepskins, that they were also quite fragile and prone to stitch tearing. I bought one from Garcia Aviation about 7 years ago and although it very beautiful , one of...

These occasionally come up on ebay. I think Cockpit was run by Mtch Mitchell They also used to renovate the leather interiors of classic cars and aeroplanes. They are quite a good repro if they don't have pockets. I agree about early repros to some extent. The very early Eastman RAF jacket...

    Aero "flare"

I think the flaring is caused by the waist being to large and the belts being too high. I have had similar problems and find it very annoying. Ask them to make the waist smaller.

Where are the B3 jackets ??

The best B-3's are made by Eastman and Real McCoys New Zealand. Eastman do a Broken Finish version or a worn- in 50 Cal. Eastman also do a Roughwear [ redskin]which is very highly regarded. They are around £470 to £530. The RMNZ are in a slightly better league but cost significantly more, I...

    Aero custom / Prototype Anj-4

I discovered some 15 year old hides left over from a long forgotten RMJ lot at a UK tannery. I bought 6 skins, approximately 40 sq. feet. The quality was simply amazing, soft thick creamy yellow untrimmed fleece that had not been tip sheared [ over 1 1/4 in.] , and a very thick crusty...

Thanks for the reply. The arm shape always did let the Aero version down. It looks great on you. What do you fly ?
