If you're tall, US Authentic may be the better option. They add 2 inches to sleeve and body length for their tall sizes while G&B only add 1 inch.
I'm also tall with long arms and the US A fit me better.
Nice jacket Bigfoot--er, I mean Lando! Lol!
What size is that G-1? What's the sleeve and pit to put measurements? The LW A-2 runs true to size if not a bit larger (modern sizing, not WWII trim-fit).
And I always wondered about the LW mouton: is it that dark or is that just the camera/lighting...

There's a 1950's Cagleco size 44 G-1 on the 'bay without fur (mouton) on the collar!
Not sure if it's some weird production error or the fur was removed by a previous owner, but quite reminiscent of the AN-J-3.
I believe that the Navy specified the bi-swing back (and gussetted underarm) in the M-422 to allow the pilot freedom to swim (after bailing out/ditching of the plane at sea). Now that's what I call "functional"!

That's a great piece of info Fletch; love the esoterica one gleans from TFL. Current Navy uniform regs state that if a jacket is worn it cannot be worn open, and must be zipped at least 1/2 way.
For me, the best stitching (and highest quality of workmanship) was Lost Worlds. I've owned 5 of their jackets (as well as jackets by GW, ELC, Aero, etc) and all my LW jackets have been perfect. I'm not saying they are the best or most accurate, just speaking to the quality and attention to...
There's the rub....working off my I-phone. Still trying to master (or at least cope with) new technology! Lol.
I have one pic up in the 'bay ad. Once I get home I will try to post more.
Gentlemen,
Just posted my Spearhead Militaria WWII repro US Navy deck jacket on the 'Bay (330917975170). Size XL, never worn! Brand new! All the features of Buzz but a fraction of the cost. Just a really nice, cool-weather jacket that is unfortunately too large for me (and the shipping/customs...
