Toomer,
You and I are in the same boat. I told Amanda that I wanted to be able to wear a mid-weight sweater under my LHB but there is no way that's going to happen. I can't tell is mine is too small, all around.
Sorry about the crappy picture. No one was here to take the photo.
Ugh! Boy did they miss the sizing on this one. I can't even zip it up over a Tee-shirt. Just sent an e-mail to Amanda. Hopefully they can get a replacement started before they receive this one back.
I'll try to post some pictures over the weekend.
Great question. I was a little concerned about it and we agreed that if I said "close your eyes" she would. There is one "sex scene" with Johnny and Billy but they are clothed and it is nothing graphic. The violence, and there is plenty of that, is handled well - nothing extrordinary or...
Saw it this evening with my daughter - we loved it. Beautiful cinimatography(sp). The cloths, cars, hats, guns... so rich. I was so looking forward to the movie that I was afraid it would not live up to my expectations but I did not leave the theater disappointed.
Unfortunately, the Michael Jackson who gave us so much music in the 80's died long ago. The man who passed away this evening did not even resemble the one who gave us Thriller.
Humm. I ordered my LHB on May 4th and received my shipment notice this morning so it should be here early next week. I too ask them to leave off the storm-cuffs, so I'll let you know.
I bought that fan locally about a month ago. They are made by Hunter so you know they are pretty good. I beliebe I paid $39 or $49, well worth the price.
Called Wolverine this afternoon. They won"t be shipping the boots until October 20th and they will only be available through high-end retailers (Neiman's, Nordstron's, etc). From the photos they appear to be replica's of the vintage work shoe but much less substantial.
Have you tried a Beretta Gallery dealer? You are going to find a high end Beretta dealer and even then I am not sure that they import all of their clothing into the US. Have you checked the safari-type jacket from Filson? Personally, I think Filson is hard to beat for function and quality.
Personally, I prefer the standard leather but I am going for a dressier look. I want boots that I can polish to a shine. On another note, I called White's and they will put toe caps on any boot for additional $20. I am still not sure that they are that much nicer than the Beckman/Gentleman...
I have been looking for a nice pair of brown capped toed "boots" to wear with cords and tweed pants in the fall and winter and these could fill the bill nicely (if I can get them with capped toes). I looked at the Aldens but they have a moc toe and they do nothing for me.
Earlier this summer...
No hats got wet during the taking of this photo! This was taken last week whild floating the AuSable river near Grayling, Michigan. I love the hat but feel that it has a lot of crown. Thoughts? (I know, the photo is not that great)
I agree the Red Lable is a little on the heavy side, but they are well made guns that will eat virtually any ammo and will do so for years. Furthermore, they are a pretty good buy right now on the used market.
As much as I would love to find rods by Leonard, Dickerson or Young, there were a number of lesser known makers making wonderful beautiful rods with great tapers. You just never know what you will find until you start looking.
