Are you abe to say if you know of anyone with a connection to Aero who lives in Hawick? Not suggesting that there is any link to this case of course. That would be uncontentious.
Quite a good thought perhaps. There does seem to have been quite a close relationship between the ancien regime at Aero and MM.
Although that's a lot of jackets to have waiting to go.

Around four to six months was what Holly at Aero said a month ago. According to her mother they are having a struggle dealing with issues that the previous management neglected. As well as having to remake jackets which were sold as FQHH when they weren't.
For what it's worth...
That jacket has been on the sale page for a long time, before the management change. I wasn't sure if it was an abortion or just something different. But thinking of it just as a windcheater jacket it looked quite nice, and a good price. So I enquired about it and found out that it's nearly 27"...
I find it's better to sell BIN rather than auction; and if you do use auction a high starting price is likely to mean either it remains unsold or someone will pop up at the end and buy it for that. So you might as well offer BIN and stipulate that all offers below a figure you think is taking...
Yes and on a coat I had made a couple of years ago under the old management a couple of the panels were different shades too. Didn't happen with the older ones though.
If you ask for samples you can see for yourself. I've got an oil pull HWM from four or five years ago and its not that dark. Might just be the pictures though the leather supplied changes a bit over time.
Vintage brown is the same as tumbled brown and is a lot softer, and for me perhaps...
I've been thinking of buying a HWM on eBay and getting a shearling lining put in for a while. The black ones don't seem to be fetching a lot right now. I reckon everyone else might be thinking the same thing though judging by these comments. Has anyone asked how much Aero would charge yet? I can...
The Aero shearling lined coats don't have it in the sleeves. I had a shearling FQHH Barnstormer until recently, and that was a heavy coat, and maybe because the hide is cold in winter it didn't really feel as warm as my trusty twenty five year old Cirrus B3. It might have been the hassle of...
When they were churning them out at the rate that they were needed the idea that they were all exactly to spec and stich perfect is risible. They would have used what they could get their hands on. There was a war on after all and a lot more cattle were being slaughtered than horses.
Well I'm not championing them by any stretch. In fact I've had my issues with Amanda's ideas of fit in the past. But at the offer price I couldn't resist, and the jacket I bought from them is a very good fit. Most of my Aeros have been 42 and can be a bit tight in the shoulders but fit...
