Looks great to me. I've got two Peacoats, 38" and 40", both fit but I wear the larger one more because I can get a good sweater under it. I don't think anyone would notice the collar issue.
Thanks guys and thanks for the tip on the stretching hide Tony. I know Kudu is an Antelope but I guess it must be similar to deer, just a big old rough looking one - I'll keep it off the hanger just to be on the safe side.
Rockin'Dog - Don't know about the sizes available, but as the Pioneer...
Many thanks Gentlemen for the positive comments. The Kudu is indeed thick, quite heavy but very soft - a complete contrast to my horsehide jackets but in a strange way a pleasant change. Took it for it's first outing tonight to my local pub and can confirm it is a very comfortable jacket to...
Thanks guys. I live in Staffordshire so just the VAT and £12.50 postage to pay. The Kudu is quite thick, heavy but very soft with a bit of stretch in it. The back length is 27 1/2", so probably a couple of inches longer than a standard 40" halfbelt.
Couldn't believe it when I spotted this Kudu Pioneer lurking in the Aero sale section. Sale jackets aren't usually for me, because I prefer a slighly longer body length than standard. This one just happened to be my size 40", my sleeve length and in a slightly longer length - pretty much...
I have probably just bought the last Kudu Pioneer, it arrived yesterday and I have to say it is an absolute beauty. I was about to post some pics when Plumbline got shot down in flames for mentioning he had ordered a couple of jackets. - I sort of lost the stomach for it after that.
As far...
Very nice jacket and good fit too. Looks longer in the back than other 30's half belts I've seen, so this one I could definitely wear. Would love to see it again when it's broken in. Enjoy!
It is a good looking pattern, doesn't have any of those unsightly folds and creases you so often see running up from the arm pits to the shoulders. Great cut!
Very nice half belt, looks like it could take a sweater under it which in the current weather conditions is not a bad thing. I've got a couple of jackets that I can only wear a tee shirt with, but it's the ones I can layer that get the most wear.
Good looking jacket and if it was put together by Vicky, you know it will be well made. I would be interested in your opinion of the grainy steer hide. The sample I received was significantly thicker than Aero's heavy front quarter horse, but it wasn't stiff at all, in fact in one direction it...
I for one am quite pleased the main thread was deleted. I tried to stay out of it for the most part but the whole tone of the thread had gone way beyond what I thought the standards of the Fedora Lounge stood for. I also have no dog in this hunt, but I would at least like to hear both sides of...
