I agree with you LD. That dress would look terrible on me, but I'm still trying to decide if it looks alright on the model lol
I do hate the neckline, though, and all those drapes!
It has not sunk in yet that Jane is dead. Jane is immortal. Jane is my husband's favourite pinup girl (old or modern!). It's weird -- I printed off a picture of her last week and mailed it to him at boot camp -- he just got it today!
Extravagance (1930).
Every character in this movie was unlikeable. You love to hate them all.
I had to gasp when June Collyer yelled at her husband "NONE OF YOUR DAMN BUSINESS!" People didn't talk like that back then. lol
I wear makeup on weekdays. I'm a wash-out redhead with no eyebrows so if I don't wear it I don't look the way I want to. I'm ugly without it.
I don't do my hair every day.
Oh....why, thanks :D
It's actually an "accidental" picture! We were on our way home from the Reading Air Show and I was playing with my iPhone, resulting in this picture.
My artist opens fresh needles in front of me and when he's done he throws everything away in front of you, including the ink. He sprays the entire area with disinfectant and even mops the floor area. All before you leave. He is the best!!
When I said "no vintage" to the interview I had in mind huge puff sleeves and frilly dresses. NOT suits. Suits are fine.

I wouldn't say I "couldn't care less", but my vintage magazine obsession has cooled off over the past few years. And Patterns. I think I have about every bodice/skirt/sleeve/style/bow/belt you can have -- nothing looks new and different anymore when you acquire them all!
Maybe where you worked Kate, but I've worked at places who refused to hire people because they came to the interview dressed a certain way. Looks *do* matter. And it's always better to be on the safe side and stay as "generically professional" as possible.
I love a bad movie just like the next guy, but I started to watch The Driller Killer (1979) and had to turn it off after 20 minutes because it annoyed me. I might pick up where I left off, though, just to say i saw it.
Instead, I watched Rock, Rock, Rock! (1956) with Tuesday Weld and a...
Good luck with whatever you do!!
I also forgot to add -- red lip stain should be fine if you feel your best with something on your lips. But just a tiny bit. I've actually had negative experiences with wearing red lipstick at jobs (after I got the job and started to wear it, of course!)...
Once again, Lady Days says what's on my mind -- better than I ever could.
There is a time and a place for red lipstick. I do love it and do wear it to work every now and again (can't get any redder than Ruby Woo!), but sometimes you have to put "you" aside and "play the game." Once you've...
